DALLAS, TX – Breaking news coming over night with south oak cliffs three-star defensive back Abdul Muhammad made the announcement that he is staying home and will be playing out his college career in his own backyard committing to SMU.

Abdul made a name from himself in his junior season for south oak cliff helping them on their run to a state title. In 2021 Abdul was able to fly all over the field and rack up tackles and cause some big plays happen and look routine.

We recently featured Abdul as one of the top hidden gem recruits in the 2023 defensive back class. At the moment Abdul only held scholarship 12 offers. We believe his recruitment was just heating up and taking off before the commitment to SMU.
Abdul picked up nearly half of his offers(5) this year alone. SMU was one of the first to offer at the beginning of the year back in January.
