Central Texas is loaded with talent and we are showcasing some of the top running backs in the area. All of these running backs you will undoubtedly hear about for the rest of the season. Some are making a name for themselves with the impressive performance they have been having at the start of the season. We calculated stats, analysis and evaluations of some of the top recruits to keep your eye on this season who could have a major impact on their teams success this season.

Top Running-back’s

Trayvian McCoy-Gay (22), Round Rock

Trayvian can take the football into the end zone when ever he has it in his hands. He shows some patiences finding open holes and can explode through the offensive line and be off to the races. We loved this running backs speed on film and think he will be one the few that will rise his recruiting stock this season.

Dareion Murphy (22), Floresville

Murphy has long been one of the top running back s in his class and one of the best out of the central Texas area. This season has been no different for the Princeton commit racking up 147 yards rushing and 1 touchdown last week and the week before Murphy put up an eye popping 6 touchdowns in his season opener. Yeah that makes for 7 touchdown on the season and I don’t think Murphy plans on letting upon any time soon.

ReShaun Sanford II (23), Harker Heights

Sanford is a power running back at 6’1″ and a long wing span, this running back looks like he could stiff arm a defender to the ground. He can run people over, won wow with you necessarily with is speed but he can pick up some rough and tough yards between the tackles. Holds two offers but I suspect that number to increase by the end of the season. This season has had two games with over one hundred yards rushing and multiple touchdowns. The first game he went for 238 yards on the ground and last week was 129 yards rushing and in both games going for 2 TDS. A special one to watch this season for Harker Heights

Elijah Oakman (22), Pflugerville

In the last game Oakman went off for 4 touchdowns on the night and helped lead his team to a victory. In the first two games of the season Oakman has had two one hundred yard rushing games. He is a power running back who can still has the speed to get around the edge and score in the endzone.

Preston Alford (22), Dripping Springs

Alford won’t wow you with his size but he will in his play. This running back flashes burst of speed and acceleration after he finds the open hole along the offensive line. Not many can keep up with the likes of Alford on the field and shows some versatility out of the backfield. Holds five division I offers from schools like Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky and Navy to name a few.

Cameron Cook (24), Stony Point

Cook has been ask impressive running back to watch this season. His ability to cut and take off for the races at ay moments notice is elite. Just eanred his first offer of many to come at the start of the season from Utah after some impressive outings. Keep your eye on this running back to make some noise this season. This season Cook as 269 yards passing and 2 touchdown so far. I suspect this electric running back to earn some more stats and offers this season.

Benjamin McCreary (22), Johnson

McCreary is a special running back who checks off all of the boxes. His got size, speed , balance and a knack for getting into the end-zone. I loved this running backs ability to break tackles and showcase his speed and athleticism. Also good in catch and run situations. McCreary could move up a lot of recruiting boards this fall.

Xadrian Huerta (22), John Jay

Huerta is a little under the radar. He won’t blow away with his speed or power but he shows some good balance spinning of tackles and cab bounce runs to the outside. Holds a couple of offers going into this season but it will take a good senior campaign for Huerta to pick up some more.
