If you are a high school football fan and will be watching the games this Friday night, you’d probably like to know which players to watch who could make the most impact for their respective teams right? Well we have the top players for you coming of hot week I starts. These running backs from the Houston area had terrific performances in their first start of the season and are primed to have another highly productive game this week. Here are some of the top running backs to keep your eye  this week and the rest of the Texas High School football season.

Top Running backs

Jerrell Wimbley(22), CE King

Jerrell had a breakout game. This running backs could have a breakout season and is one to keep your eye on. Jerrell has five division I offers coming in to this season and will more than likely admire in his senior campaign. Wimbley’s other teammates balled out as well, making for a three headed monster out of the backfield in teammates D’ Koreion Hammond and Tyrone Scyrus each combining for a total of over 400 yards and 7 touchdowns on the night for all three running backs.

Stats: 11 carries, 203 yards with 2 touchdowns

Kedrick Reescano (23), New Caney

Kedrick had a phenomenal night with 3 touchdowns on the night. Reescano is a special athlete who has great size and speed at the running back postion. A tough runner in between the tackles and has the speed to break away from defenses and take the football in for touchdowns.  His recruiting is just heating up and was just offered by Michigan State after his first week performance and I suspect many more to come this season and the next. Holds offers from schools like Houston, Oklahoma State, SMU and Tulsa.

Stats: 28 carries, 179 yards and 3 touchdowns

Keishuan Wooten (23), Klein Oak

Wooten had a good outing in his first week of the regular season and looked strong for Klein Oak. Wooten displayed ball carrier vision and great lateral speed in last Friday nights outing. He’s a little undersized at 5’8″ however don’t let his size fool you, Wooten can get the job done out of the backfield and produce.

Stats: 14 carries for 151 yards and 1 touchdown

Seth Davis (23), Katy

Walking into his season Seth Davis holds interest from many prominent Division I programs like Clemson, Georgia and many others. Davis an electric runner out of the backfired and can take the football up field at a moments notice with his amazing speed and agility. Davis looks like a next level running back already and shows it running the football. Hes a one cut type of back, who can make one quick cut to the outsides or in between the tackles and then be off for the races. Also shows he can be extremely productive in catch and run situations.

Stats: 16 car, 147 yards , 1 touchdown

Ezell Jolly (23), Ridge Point

Jolly has good size at 6’0″ one-hundred and seventy-five pounds this running back can make his own holes to run through. Jolly is a very physical player who is violent in his runs and picks up great yardage. This Ridge point running back will be a special back to watch this season. Holds offers from the Baylor Bears and Colorado.

Stats: 19 carries for 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns

Honorable Mentions

De’Monte Seymore (22), Manvel

Stats: 22 carries for 152 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Bryce Nirider (22), Needville

Stats: 15 carries for 112 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns

Zachary Menefee (22), Heights
