A select few coaches can go to bed happy tonight after the news they’ve seen.
Cy Ranch defensive lineman Ashton Porter, a 4-star recruit and top 40 nationally ranked at his position; announced via Twitter tonight he’s narrowed down his list to 10 schools he’ll be focusing on. After wrecking havoc in the backfield this past season (19 tackles for loss), Porter had racked up 33 offers prior to cutting his list down.

Porter has narrowed down his top 10 schools to Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Cal, Grambling State, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, and Texas. He’s currently only announced an official visit with Northwestern (May 13th-15th), but with this new list dropping you can expect more visits to be set in the coming weeks. Porter’s stock is only going to rise through the summer leading up to the season. Whenever he makes his decision, one lucky coach will continue to have more peaceful nights.
