The Recruiting Trail: top recruits offers and commits this weeks

This week in recruiting saw a lot of action and changes in the world of recruiting. For instances, Texas Tech’s hiring of former Baylor Associate Head Coach , Joey McGuire. Which sparked new life into he program.

The Red Raiders waisted no time getting to work in the recruiting department with the new change of staff. Recruits from across the state where being offered by Texas Tech.

Many other recruits from across the state of Texas saw some offers come in and some will be taking visits this week to college Universities this weekend.

We highlight a few recruits hot on the recruiting trail and some that have been stirring up headlines with dates of future commitments.

Here is an update of some of the top recruits from around the state to know about this week.




Sidney Mbanasor (22) WR, Pflugerville

Texas Tech offered Pflugerville’s 6’6 senior wide receiver who has ben phenomenal this season. When the season started not many new his name, and was flying very under the radar. I remember seeing this receiver last offseason in 7-on-7 playand thinking, he’s going to take off this year. Sure enough, he did, now holds offers to Texas Tech, Utah, Vanderbilt and others


Nate Kibble (24) OL, Atascocita

The Texas Longhorns made their offer to the young interior offensive linemen at the start of this week. Other offers: Texas State, UTSA, Houston .


Carson Dean (24) Edge, Hebron

Dean has been one of the hottest defensive ends in the 2024 class, and that’s saying something because the class is loaded with talent. Texas Tech made their offer, others include Kansas, Baylor and Washington. Others showing love with graphics on social media: Texas, Notre Dame, Texas A&M  and others.


Jordan Hudson (22) Garland

Hudson made an interesting tweet this week that is noteworthy of knowing. The star wide our, who is argubaly one of the best in classs, and a SMU commit reacted to another to recruits post  in Evan Stewart regarding the longhorns. Wether or not that means anything, remains to be seen.


Justin DeLeon (23) OL, HM King

This 6’4 offensive linemen is recruits to know out of the Houston area. He just received his second division I offer from SMU, the first coming from Baylor.


Smaje Burrell (23) ILB, North Crowley

This is one linebackers who’s recrutment has been on fire this year, Colorado just offered at the beginning of the week, others who have include Texas Tech, SMU, Toledo, Kansas, and others.


Syncere Massey (22) DL, Cedar Hill

The Red Raiders received a commitment from a big defensive linemen this week in three-star, 6-foot-5, two hundred and eight pounder , Syncere Massey. Massey held 13 other division I offers from others like Arizona State, Connecticut, LSU, USC as well as others.



Dylan Raiola (24) QB, Burleson

The Texas A&M Aggies made thier offer to one of the nations best quarterback recruits in the nation in Raiola. Holds multiple other power 5 offers.


Cameron Cook (23) RB, Stony Point

One of the top breakout running back recruits in the 2023 class this season has been Cook. Texas Tech made their offer this week.


Isaiah Crawford (23) Edge, Post

One of the top edge rushers in the 2023 class opened up his recruitment this week after recommitting from Baylor. Made the announcement via twitter early this week. The offers he’s received since have been from Okalahama State,and Texas Tech.


Seth Davis (23) RB, Katy

The Flordia Gators made their offers to one of Katy’s best players in Davis, who receivers his first FBS offer.




Commit of the Week


Julian Humphrey (22) DB, Clear lake

The commit of the week is one of the top defensive backs in the nation in four-star defensive back Julian Humphrey. According to 247 sports, Humphrey is ranked as the NO. 13 defensive back in the nation and the 16th overall player here in the state of Texas. Top schools three were between LSU, Texas A&M and of course the Georgia Bulldogs. After a impressive season for the Georgia Bulldogs thus far, espicaalyl on the defensive side of the ball, Humphrey recommitted from the Gators and flipped to the Bulldogs.
