HOUSTON – Two of Houstons most talented teams are going head to head this weekend in Atascocita (11-2) and North Shore (12-1). We know both teams are filled with division I talent on both sides of the ball and can put up points or shutout most oppoenets effortlessly.

The areal attack for the Atascocita football team has been terrific this season with senior quarterback Gavin Session’s performing well most of the season before injury. Sophomore quarterback Zion Brown stepped up in a big way and solidifying his spot as a leader on offense. Brown is a dual-threat quarterback that is lethal with the football in his hands and has a rifle of an arm.

Some of the top offensive standouts this season for Atascocita have been senior wide receiver Keith Wheeler, senior wide receiver Chase Sowell, and of course highly rated senior offensive tackle Kam Dewberry has ben that anchor on that offensive line in what is one of the best units in the city, along with interior offensive linemen Nate Kibble.

North Shore’s football team has quite a but of offensive fire power as well with junior wide receiver David Amador, senior Jhalyn Bailey and quarterback Wyndell Mitchell jr making for some lethal combinations.

Wyndell has been pin point accurate thus far this season and in the post season. He can spread the wealth or take of with the football himself for six points.

Atascocita will also have to account for the running game ,North Shore’s Xavier Owens Jr. is a fast and explosive runner out of the backfield and can find a open hole and take off just as well as their quarterback can.

Sophomore quarterback faces a tall task that well be  put to the test against a stacked North Shore defensive backfield with defenders like senior defensive back Caleb Flagg, defensive back Denver Harris and junior defensive back Jacoby Davis.

The North Shore defense might prove to be too tuff or will that high powered Atascocita offense take off with the lead and never looked back? What do you think, comment below, with your pick.
