Game Previews

Colleyville Heritage (12-1) vs Mansfield Summit (10-3)

Colleyville heritage comes into this game with a strong areal attack averaging 42 points per game (according to Maxpreps stats). Leading the way is a raw 6’5 Division I talented quarterbacak in junior Weston Smith. This QB can launch the ball easily 50 yards down field with the flick of the wrist, and make defenses pay.

Two favorite target for Smith and the Colleyville offense is leading reciever Hogan Wasson, who in 13 games has 80 receptions, 1150 yards recieving, and 12 touchdowns on the season, also standing out is senior wide reciever Mason Murdock.

Mansfield Summit’s defense will have their work cut out for them, but have a solid group of athletes on both sides of the ball. So it should be a intriguing matchup to watch.

David Hopkins Jr. is an electric dual threat quarterback that can find the end zone seemingly at will and with little effort.

Denton Ryan (12-1) vs College Station (13-0)

Game preview: Denton Ryan features alot of talent on bothsides of the ball. College Stations offense looks virtually unstoppable.

With Denton Ryans star studded defense and Colleges Stations high powered offense. We take a deep dive on this game and the players that could have the most impact in the game.

Read more on the Big Game Preview of what just might be the one of the best matchups this post season in Denton Ryan vs the undefeated College Station Panthers.

Allen (11-2) vs Southlake Carroll (13-0)

Some of the DFW areas best will be going head to head in this one. Both teams feature high powered offenses. The Southlake Carroll Dragons featured some junior recruits that have had breakout seasons thus far.

Allen also features multiple high profile players that could possibly say the momentum of the game in their favor. Find out which top recruits to watch for in the game by reading more into this big game preview here.

Denton Guyer (12-1) vs Prosper (9-4)

Denton Guyer has been one of the most complete teams on both sides of the ball this season. The offensive line, to the running and passing game, to the defensive side of the ball, Guyer checks off all the boxes and has a star studded crew.

Prosper has a high powered offense as well but they will be hard pressed facing a very tough Guyer defense. Junior defensive backs Peyton Bowens, Ryan Yaites, senior Marquan Pope, lockdown the defensive backfield for Guyer and have been valuable pieces to the success their teams experienced this season.

Quarterback Jackson Arnold has been one of the best– if not the best quarterback in the entire state in any class for that matter this season in my opinion. His ability to will his team to victories has been second to none. Much credit can be given to the that offensive line, who has also been one of the best units this season in the state and the balance the running game brings with running back Byron Phillips jr. out of the backfield.

Lovejoy Leopards (12-1) vs South Oak Cliff (12-1)

Lovejoy has been hot offensively all season long. They feature a well balanced offense that brings a nice mix of ran and pass. Sophomore quarterback Alexander Franklin has been one of the breakout young gun slingers this season.

On the opposite side, South Oak Cliffs Missouri State commit Kevin Henry-Jennings has been just as good if not better this season. He features a quick release of the football and shows he can rifle passes in between defenders.

Both teams come into this matchup with a equal record and defensively during the season each team was only letting their opponents score 14 points or less during the season. South Oak Cliffs defense pitched many shutout during the regular season and looks like a solid unit. However, since the start of the post season both teams defenses have given up towards of 20 points per game since competition has ramped up.

Duncanville (11-1) vs DeSoto (11-2)

This is one heavy weight matchup that wont disappoint. These two historical Texas power house prgrams will go head to head.

We take a deep dive for both teams and who could be the determining factors for both teams. The football field will be littered with next level athletes for both Duncanville and DeSoto.

Find out more on who could lead their team to victory. Will it be that panther defense stepping up or will the eagles high powered offensive weapons be to much?
