Dallas Parish Episcopal’s 23 S Daniel Demery commits to Ole Miss

By:

4-star recruit Daniel Demery made a splash to Lane Kiffin’s Memorial Day weekend by announcing via Twitter his commitment to Ole Miss this afternoon.

The 6’0, 189 lbs athlete chose Ole Miss over the likes of Texas A&M, USC, SMU, and Colorado. Demery took a visit to Oxford on April 25th and from there you can tell it was a match made in heaven for him.

Daniel covered sideline to sideline for the Panthers this past season at the safety position (70 total tackles, 5 INT, and 3 defensive TD). With his ability to put a blanket in the secondary, he’ll fit perfectly in with the “Shark” mentality that Ole Miss defense has been known for.

Accolades

2020: Primarily played on defense but got limited offensive snaps during the sophomore season; helped Dallas Parish Episcopal to the Division I state championship in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

2019: As a freshman, helped Dallas Parish Episcopal to a 12-1 record and the Division I state championship in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

Eval done by tdrecruits Emmanuel Charles-Lobo: Daniel has the size, with a lean athletic build, and can play down in the box against the run or against the passing game. Great athlete who can also be used to return punts on special teams and be a threat to take it back for a house call anytime he touches the ball.
