One of our top ranked class of 2024 quarterbacks from Midland Legacy Marcos Davila  has recommitted from TCU and re-opende his recruitment. Marcos took to twitter Wednesday night to say” I want to thank Coach Sonny Dykes, Coach, Riley, for recruiting me at TCU. College football changes fast and relationships matter so I feel it’s best for me to re-open my recruitment.”

The decommitment happened just in a span from a few days following the university of Miami offering Davila, and him waisting no time making plans to visit the Hurricanes soon. Davila holds 22 division I offers and is one of the top ranked and rated quarterbacks not only in the state of Texas but also the nation. Committed to TCU back in December of 2022, and since then received offers from the university of Colorado, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Miami.

Evaluation

Marcus Davila (24) | 6’3″, 205 QB | Midland Legacy

Marcos has quick strike ability, and the ability to set back into the pocket and deliver strikes deep down field, towards the sideline or in the end-zone for six. Marcos has beautiful footwork, paired with proper mechanics as a quarterback. Trained by some of the best quarterback coaches, and trainers in the country. If defenses set back to cover against the pass, Davila can hurt them with his legs, speed and agility is there, he is a guy who can run over a few guys on his way into the end-zone. With his tough and physical playing style and running nature, Davila is hard to bring down, and can keep plays alive or pick up positive yardage. Does a nice job of rolling out to either side and delivering strikes. His timing with receivers and ability to read a defense is excellent. Also shows he can hit receivers in stride over the middle of the field, or vertically, and those back shoulder catches to receivers. Davila will be an early started at the next level and could see much production and success on the field for any program.
