This accomplishment comes in the form of Daniel Cruz, a four-star offensive lineman hailing from Richland High School. By choosing to commit to Texas, Cruz has solidified his commitment to join the Longhorns’ football program.
Over the past few years, Texas has showcased an impressive knack for recruiting talented athletes from the Dallas area. Their success has been evident through the acquisition of 22 players, all of whom were ranked among the top 25 recruits in the region for the classes spanning from 2020 to 2023. Notably, the Longhorns managed to secure the number one spot in the recruiting rankings for three of those classes, while settling for second place in the remaining class.
