We are taking a look at the top recruits to know in the defensive trenches, we are talking about some of the best defensive line recruits to know in the 2025 class here in Texas. The class of 2025 offers a wealth of talent, and the defensive line prospects to not disappoint. Here are some of the best to know.

Top Ranked

#5.Devin Coleman (25) | 6-5 / 315 | DL | Cedar Hill

Great size for the interior of the defensive line being just a freshman. Holds one early offer to Texas Tech and will be a player to know for years to come for Cedar Hill.

#4.DJ Sanders (25) | 6-3 / 280 | DL | Bellville

Dj is a big guy off the edge who could end up being a very highly rated and recruited interior defensive lineman. He can also play the edge, if he slims down and adds more lean mass to his body we could see him being a dominant edge rusher or plugging up that interior of the trenches and being one who can not only rack up tackles of losses but also get after the QB. Has great size, strength, and speed for his age.

#3.Keylan Abrams (25) | 6-0 / 200 | Edge | DeSoto

Keylan has the skills to be one of the most dominant edger rushers in his class. Plays and looks bigger on film. Given the time to develop his size and skills. Abrams could easily be one of the most feared edge rushers in his class, he’s that good at getting to the QB.

#2.Landon Rink (25) | 6-2 / 225 | DL | Cy-Fair

They say speed kills, well try speed and strength combined, makes for a lethal combination and
Rink has both. Impressively build interior defensive linemen who brings a balance of speed, strength, and athlete to the interior of the defensive line. Rink showcases a quick first step and can often sneak his way past most defenders or can track them down with a high motor and pursuit to the ball. The pedigree is there for this recruit, Father is a former defensive lineman that played for the University of Texas. Word has already begun getting out about Landon and the elite talent he will be for years to come. Will be a player who ends up with plenty of stars and can go anywhere to play in the country.

#1.Lance Jackson (25) | 6-5 / 240 | DL,ATH | Pleasant Grove

Lance is an elite athlete in his class who undoubtedly will be one of the top prospects in the nation on either side of the ball. Lance plays both ways at tight end and on the defensive line, very versatile athletic player that can play any position but athletics bears out tracking down QBs and racking up TFLs. We like him best as an edge rusher, will be one of the most dominant and sought-after recruits at this position. Jackson has next-level size and skills already, this guy can shoot out of his stance with some impressive speed and explosiveness and beat blockers with speed or hand moves. Holds 7 division I offers to schools that have discovered this young talented athlete like Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Louisiana Tech, SMU, Texas Tech, and UTSA.
