There are three places every college coach makes sure they make time for while in Texas: Whataburger, Buc-ee’s, and South Dallas for talent. Take a look at a few of the names to know in Texas High School football.

Kylan Salters (23) | 6’2, 210 lbs. | LB | Cedar Hill

When you have to go against elite playmakers every Friday night (especially in your backyard with district foes Duncanville and Desoto), it’s to have elite defenders like Kylan on your side. With college-ready size, Salters can shed blocks in a hurry and is as sure as a tackler that you’ll find in the state of Texas. Already a top 50 linebacker nationally, the longhorn already has over 15 offers the recent being LSU earlier this month. It’s only a matter of time before more coaches come knocking at his door.

Jaylen Jenkins (23) | 5’10, 180 lbs. | RB | Cedar Hill

Jaylen made it a habit when he touched the ball to make it a highlight reel. With his one-cut get-up north style of running, he’s not an easy back to take down averaging 5.68 yards a carry. A 1st-Team All-District RB this past season, Jenkins looks to lock in for the upcoming summer camps. Currently holding 9 offers from schools such as Arizona, Tulsa, Prairie View A&M, and Alabama State, you can expect that list to grow well past double digits this summer.

Cedric Harden Jr. (23) | 6’3, 190 lbs. | QB | Cedar Hill

Every coach tries to put the ball in the hands of their best athlete. Cedar Hill is no exception in how they utilize Cedric in their offense. Harden Jr. uses his elite speed at the quarterback spot to make the loss turn into a 10-plus-yard scramble. His future will be on the outside at the next level as he’s been working on his receiving skills this summer and has seen it pay off with eight offers to this point from schools such as Arizona, Georgia Tech, and Louisiana Monroe. Get you popcorn ready because he’s going to be putting on an encore this coming season.

Elijah Wilson (23) | 6’0, 209 lbs. | LB | Duncanville

When you’re in a program like Duncanville, you may have to wait your turn for playing time. Elijah made sure he didn’t have to wait long to make an impact. Wilson is a linebacker that not only lives off the edge and can chase defenders from sideline to sideline, but is also great in pass coverage. With offers from Tulsa, Northern Arizona, and Alabama A&M, Elijah is ready to capitalize on having an even bigger staple for the Panther’s defense.

Jaden Milliner-Jones (23) | 5’11, 190 lbs. |S| Desoto

If you haven’t heard of Jaden yet, then it won’t belong. Milliner-Jones is your old school downhill safety always having his nose in every play and breaking every jump ball in his path. Receiving 1st team all-district this past season, Jaden already racked over double-digit offers from schools such as Minnesota, Memphis, Georgia Tech, and Arkansas amongst others. If I was a betting man, I would be all in on Jaden soaring up the national ranks this season.
