Today is a special one because it is our first annual rankings here at TDRecruits. All month long we will be ranking the 2023, 2024, 2025, and even the 2026 classes at each position. We will be covering the top and most elite recruits in each class at every position.

For now, we take a look at some of the top senior quarterbacks to know in the 2023 class. We have come up with who we believe are the top 21 prospects in the class and have ranked them in order. If you haven’t already subscribed today for a special deal as we will bring you all of the top recruits in Texas and cover the 7-on-7 season. We don’t believe in the offseason around here, in our world of recruiting it’s a 247, 365 days a year type thing. Act now special deal won’t last long.

21. Jacobe Robinson (23)| 6’4 218 | Dual-threat QB | 2023 |Henderson

Jacobe can throw just as well as any quarterback on this list. He has the size at 6’4 almost two hundred-twenty pounds and throws the ball well on the run or sitting in the pocket. Footwork and mechanics need improvement, however, this is a good-looking athlete and competitor with an arm.

20. Colin Johnson (23) | 6’2 175 | Pro-style QB | 2023 |Dawson

Colin is a gunslinger, he flashes a quick-release on the football and can rifle the ball towards the middle of the field or drop it in the breadbasket where only his receivers can catch it. Tough to list him here, just as good as any, just arm strength could be better and touch.

19. Weston Smith (23) | 6’5 215 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Colleyville Heritage

Weston is one of the most underrated quarterbacks. Has terrific arm strength and size you’d like to see at the quarterback position. With the size and arm strength that you’d like to see a quarterback with at the next level. Smith has all of the tools, physical attributes, and skills to be a recruit that many could soon be talking about.

18. Gavin Rutherford ( 23)| 6’1 190 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Cinco Ranch

Gavin is a gunslinger that can pick apart defenses and in 2021 he did just that earning his way on our list.

17. Brady Dever (23) | 6’1 170 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Fort Bend Christian Academy

Brady has excellent timing on all of his throws and can hit receivers in stride. This QB can make the big plays happen and make them look routine.

16. PJ Hatter (23 ) | 6’2 185 | Dual-threat QB  |2023 | Klein Oak

Hatter is a dual-threat quarterback who looked impressive this season. A few aspects of his game can be cleaned up but this is a QB that proved he can make plays in the running and passing game.

15. Nathan Greek (23)| 6’3 250 | Pro-Style QB  | 2023 | Ferris

Greek can launch a football deep down the field and hit receivers in stride. Has that prototypical size, and looks next-level ready. Holds offers to Nevada, Southern Miss, and Virginia Tech as well as interest from others.

14. Brennan Storer (23)| 5’11 175 | Dual-Threat QB | 2023 |Highland Park

Storer had a breakout season in 2021, earning him some offers and catching the attention of colleges across the nation because of his elite athletics, and arm. A bit undersized as a QB, Storer knows how to work the ball down the field. Holds offer to Illinois State, Kansas, Kent State, Texas State, and interest from others.

13. Chase Jenkins (23)| 5’11 175 | Dual-Threat QB  |2023 | Alief Taylor

With 2,496 yards passing this season and 24 touchdowns Jenkins had an amazing season limiting his mistakes with only throwing 1 interception on the year. 1-st team all-district in 23-6A, a bit undersized but a feierce competior with a rifle of an arm,

12. Bryce Fucik (23) | 6’2 185 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 |Strake Jesuit

Fucik looks like a dominant quarterback that could pass for a dual-threat QB because of his athleticism. However, his strength is dropping back and delivering the football downfield from the pocket. Last season he had a limited number of targets but still managed to put up some impressive numbers and sling the rock beautifully.

11. Duke Butler Jr. (23) | 6’2 185 | Dual Threat QB |2023 | Shadow Creek

Duke is a fast, athletic quarterback who can sling the rock. On the field, he shows flashes of speed and arm strength, as well as touch on all of his throws. He’s not afraid to tuck and run with the football and or deliver a strike in between coverage and shows he can find the endzone constantistantly.

10. JT Fayard (23)| 6’5 195 | Pro Style QB | 2023 | Fayard

JT is a quarterback who is making a name for himself. He possesses all the physical attributes and skills to be a top next-level prospect. Last season JT threw the ball really well for Foster and dominated through the air.

9. Cedric Harden Jr. (23) | 6’2 185 | Dual Threat QB /ATH | 2023 | Cedar Hill

One of the top athletes in his class, Harden is a threat to score anytime the football is in his hands. As a dual-threat QB out of the backfield Harden can deliver to the end zone or take off for six points himself.

8. Mason Shorb (23)| 6’3 176 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 |  Rouse

This quarterback can make all of the throws. In tight coverage, deep down the field, doesn’t matter, Shorb can make it look easy. He can deliver a nice deep ball and has elite mechanics and footwork in the pocket. One of my favorite arms in the 2023 cycle that is under the radar.

7. Ashton Dubose (23)| 6’2 185 | Dual-threat QB | 2023 |Brennan

Ashton is one of central Texas’s best dual-threat QBs. He can make every throw with a beautiful touch and absolutely torch defenses with his legs or arm.

6. Jackson Gilkey (23)| 6’2 200 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 |Ennis

Gilkey had one of our favorite arms in this class. He is a quarterback that can make all of the throws and make them look routine.

5. Jake Strong (23) | 6’2 190 |  Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Northwest

Jake has one of the better arms in his class. He features excellent mechanics, a smooth drop back and a quick release to open receivers.  His recruiting I believe will take off in 2022.

4. Kaden Anderson (23) | 6’4 205 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Southlake Carrol

One of the most breakout quarterbacks this year in any class could arguably be this QB right here. Anderson is one prolific proticpaical quarterback who looks and competes like the elite.

3. Austin Novosad | 6’3 205 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Dripping Springs

With an impressive junior season in the books, looking back in season Austin had 3,339 yards passing, 40 TDs only 9 interceptions, and completed 64% of his passes. Austin was one of those guys who made a name for himself the last offseason around this time with his throwing ability and stature. He shined during 7-on-7 and camp season and his recruitment began to take off after that. His senior campaign will be a special one to watch.

2. Bo Edmundson | 6’2” 195 | Pro-Style QB | 2023 | Lake Travis

Bo is your pro-typical gunslinging QB who can throw strikes on the run or in the pocket. With his quick-strike ability whether in a short-range or deep through scenario, Bo can put the ball on the money and hit receivers in stride. Holds 13 Division I offers.

1. Jackson Arnold  | 6’1” 195 | Dual-Threat QB | 2023 | Denton Guyer

Jackson is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation and state. On the field, he is an athletic quarterback that can hurt defenses with his arm or legs. Featuring a quick-release, Jackson is proficient in mid-range accuracy, deep ball, and ability to throw on the run. Holds 22 division I offers at the moment, at the top of the list is Arkansas, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, TCU to name a few.
