We are capping off our 2025 rankings this month and today we bring you a highly talented and special group of the top linebacker recruits that are in Texas High School football.  So let’s dive right into who are some of the very best soon-to-be junior linebacker recruits in the state.

Top 10 Texas High School Football 2025 Linebacker Recruits

#10. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Copelin Windfont (25′) | 6’/215 | LB | Crosby

Copelin is a linebacker who can explode into backfields and make tackles for losses look routine. He could easily be higher on this list as one of the top in his class. We believe Coplin won’t disappoint this season and despite the lack of stature can be a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball. Holds two current offers at the moment too UNT, and UTSA respectively.

#9. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Elliott Schaper (25′) | 6-2/200 | LB | Westlake

Elliot is a sure tackler in the open field and can lay the lumber. Does well playing against the run or pass. We were really impressed by not only his lengthy, athletic frame, and ability to add more mass to his frame at the next level but his intuitiveness, and physical play.

#8. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Ke’Breion Winston (25′) | 6-1/200 | LB | Lancaster

KeBreion can be a threat off the edge with his explosiveness, speed, and agility getting off the line of scrimmage. He can dominate rushing off the edger or making stops from the linebacker position. Does a great job sniffing out plays, and his physical nature translates to his play and tackling.

#7. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Richmond Ugochukwu (25′) | 6-1/185 | LB | Berkner

Richmond impressed us with his lengthy frame and athleticism off the edge or playing off the line. He has the ability to make plays versus the passing game and can read quarterbacks’ eyes very well.

#6. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Dillon Arkansas (25′) | 6-1/190 | LB | Denton Ryan

Dillon complied 80 total tackles last season with 6 tackles for losses and 1 sack. An excellent form tackler and one who also plays with high motor and physicality. He will be a linebacker that will impress many this season and that will see a surge in his recruiting.

#5. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Elijah Barnes (25′) | 6-1/215 | LB | Skyline

Elijah could be one of the fast on this list. He can run the football and dominate on the defensive side of the ball with a high motor and physical play-making ability. Barnes shows he can stop the run very well, does a good job reading plays, and shows excellent lateral ability and control.

#4. Ranked 25′  LB (TX) Jayden Shelton (25′) | 6-1/190 | LB | South Oak Cliff

Jayden impressed us with his size and athleticism making plays for tackles for losses with his explosiveness into backfields. A solid middle or outside linebacker recruit who is athletic enough to play against the run or pass very well.

#3. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Jonah Williams (25′) | 6-3/203 | LB | Ball

Williams is a hybrid defensive back who is fast enough to play safety, and big and athletic enough to play linebacker. We project him as a recruit who can add more mass to his frame at the next level and dominate on Saturdays.

#2. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Parker Meese (25′) | 6-2 / 215 | LB | Parish Episcopal School of Dallas

Parker can commit to playing at any top program in the country at the moment because of his size, strength, and talent. At almost 6-foot-2 plus Parker can fly sideline-to-sideline and make plays.

#1. Ranked 25′ LB (TX) Kelvion Riggs (25′) | 6-1/210 | LB | South Oak Cliff

Riggs is a beast of a linebacker with a tremendous build paired with elite speed and agility. Very well could be a linebacker who could make an imeedditate impact at the next level and be an early-round draft pick in the future.
