2023 Manor DL Jayden Cofield commits to Texas Tech

MANOR,TX- Three-star defensive tackle Jayden Cofield 2023 Manor defesnive tackle Jayden Cofield is committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Jayden is one who we recently featured in our Springs Season Stock Riser series for the class of 2023 in which he has seen a boost in his recrutiment this year.
Jayden did not start picking up scholarship offers until last season after impressing on the field and earning some accolades as defensive newcomer of the year in his junior season.

Cofield is a massive interior defensive tackle who can plug up the middle of the line, fill gaps, and cause havoc in oppents backfields.

At 6’3” 325 pounds it is impressive to see a big fellow move as well as Cofield does; he can plug up the defenseive line, shows a high motor in pursit of the football, and athletic ability. Cofield makes racking up TFLs, and sacks look easy.

In addition to picking up defensive newcomer of the year as a junior in Texas district 5A, he earned the first-team all-district honors as a sophomore at Del Valley in 2020 and all-district selection as a freshman in 2019. Texas Tech got themselves a beast on the defensive line.
