DENTON,Tx. – In a major recruiting win for the Oklahoma Sooners, 2023 Denton Guyer RB Kalib Hicks has committed to the program. Hicks, who is considered one of the top running backs in his class, chose Oklahoma over a number of other top programs. This is a huge get for Brent Venebales and his staff, and it should have fans excited about the future of the program.

The Sooners have already started the month of June off right by securing the services of three-star wide receiver Keyon Brown and three-star athlete Kade McIntyre. However, up to that point, Oklahoma’s class was devoid of any blue-chip commitments. That changes now that Hicks has committment.
It’s also noteworthy because of the potential influence it may have on Anthony Hill, his teammate and five-star linebacker. Hill, who has narrowed his list to Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas A&M, USC and Miami as he searches for a school that can provide him with an edge as he prepares for the NFL.
If Hicks’ commitment is any indication, the Sooners seem to be in a good spot with Hill as well.
