It is the Horned frogs yet again for Gladewaters senior star wide receiver DJ Allen and he is “1000% committed” he took to Twitter today saying.

Allen is a nationally ranked 4-star recruit on many different recruiting sites like 247 sports for example, where they have DJ raked amongst some of the elite in the nation regardless of position.

Much controversy has come behind the commitment as Allen was previously committed before back in August of last year, but because of coaching changes like former head coach Gary Patterson leaving; Allen re-considered his options and re-opened his recruitment as many other TCU commits did after the exit of the famed and well-accomplished head coach in Patterson.

Now with the new regime in place in Sonny Dykes and company, recruits have been gravitating towards the horned frog’s new staff, and coach Dykes is putting together a nice recruiting class and is winning in both the 2022 and 2023 classes as many top recruits are following the new head coach following his exit from SMU.

Yes, the college football landscape looks a lot different compared to this time last year, but that is every year some could say, with coaching changes happing all the time, however, last year brought about a coaching carousel of changes that not many would ever have seen coming.

TCU lands a star and an athlete in DJ Allen,– he is a four-sport athlete who competes in football, baseball, track, and field and dominates in all of them. At the receiver, Allen is lethal in his routes and can make turf fly up when he makes his cuts, also shows the elite speed and agility to be dangerous in catch-and-run situations. His ability to make defenders miss in the open field and the ability to climb the ladder with an impressive vertical more than makes up for his average height and made him a receiver recruit 25 other prestigious colleges across the country wanted.
