Three-star offensive tackles from Duncanville Cameron Williams made the announcement last night that he would be decommitting from the University of Oregon and re-opening his recruitment.

This has been one of the craziest years of recruiting with the couching carousel of coaches being fired and new high profile coaches taking over prominent programs like LSU’s new head coach Brian Kelly from Notre Dame, SMU’s, Sonny Dykes  to TCU, and the list can go on, but in this case the news came Monday morning that a coaching change would take place in, ——but in Miami?

Williams commitment to Oregon came in June of this year after Williams release his top three schools which include Texas, Oklahoma and of course the Ducks. Is Texas still on the map for Williams as being a top choice to take his talents?

The U for Cristobal

Monday morning the news broke that the Miami Hurricanes made a signafiagant change at the head coaching position firing former head coach Manny Diaz, and hiring the Oregon duck’s Mario Cristobal to become there new head coach.

News broke out Monday and by Tuesday news of a new deal was reported for Cristobal and the Hurricanes. The decommitment of Williams and some other Oregon recruits was bound to happen. A few other commits have already followed in Cameron’s footsteps.

Cameron has 32 Division I offers, he could play any where in the country. He is one of the most dominant, athleticly gifted offensive linemen in the state regardless of class. This guy can really move the pile and is super light on his feet. Has no problem pulling or blocking out in space.

Whats Next ?

The University of Texas is looking like a destination spot that many recruits who have recommitted could be heading too like a big name like Ohio State transfer quarterback Quinn Ewers, well could Williams be next? Many experts think the Longhorns football team is high on the list for Williams. It will remain to be seen, when a commitment is made, we will be sure to relay the message to you as quickly as possible and keep you up to date. New news suggest that the top three now for Williams is as follows, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
