Breaking news out of Coppell, Texas today senior Braxton Myers, one of the nation’s top-ranked and rated safeties in the country in his class has de-committed from the USC trojans.  Myers took to Twitter Wednesday evening to thank the USC staff for their time and efforts with him but that he would ultimately be re-opening his recruitment.

While trying to navigate through this recruiting proccess, Ive had numerous coversations with my family and have come to this very difficult decision. —At this time, I will be decommitting from the Univeristry of Southern California and re-opening my recruitment.

Braxton held 34 division I offers from others like Auburn, Baylor, Notre Dame, Texas and others before ultimately committing to the Trojans back in May of this year.

Previous Top Schools

The previous top schools for Myers included Cal, Auburn , Arkansas, Clemson and Ole Miss. Should one of those teams be moved up to the forefront recently to replace USC after seeing the Trojans play in their first week of football as well as others. The reconsideration had to had come to a conclusion after last weekend. USC played Rice last weekend and dominated winning 66-14. Arkansas, Clemson, Cal, Auburn, and Ole Miss all had pretty good games and walked away with victories, the only one who didn’t was a nailbitter that came down to the wire and one point in the loss for LSU to Florida State. It will be interesting to see as some experts believe that Ole Miss could be a favorite in the conversation.
