This week we highlight a few running back recruits who have been having them selves a terrific starts of the season. Here are some of the top running backs of week four of the Texas High School football regular season.
Ashton Jeanty (22) RB,WR Lone Star Frisco
Jeanty is a tough runner to bring down out of the backfield. Also is very versatile and can catch the ball out of the backfield making for a nice security blanked for quarterbacks. Already committed to Boise State, Jeanty is proving why he is next level talent every week so far this season.

DK Smottick (23) RB, Nolan Catholic
Dk is a power running back out of the backfield that shows tremendous balance and agility in his cuts. If your looking for a running back who can pick up some rough and tough yards, look no further Smottick is your man. He also shows great vision running in between the tackles and has the break away speed to pick up yards after contact. Last game Smottick had 14 carries , 93yards and 3 TDS.
Zach Evans (22) RB, Rockwall
That Rockwall heath offense is so dangerous in many different ways this season. Much credit can be given to that big offensive line that is a very cohesive unit that can push the pile. Evans just makes it look to easy and can run in between the tackles, make a few shakes, change direction and be off to the endzone. He just makes scoring look too routine. Evans committed to Minnesotta could produce early on in his college career.
Jayshon Powers (22)RB, Garland
Powers is a running back everyone needs to know. Only 3 division I offers from Illinois State, Oklahoma State, and Tulane at the moment. I know that number will rise this season after a few impressive performances for Garland. Powers shows some good core and lower body strength running with the football. It looks like the entire defense is need to bring this running back down every time he is tackled. Jayshon is the type of back you could feed the rock to all game and give your offense a nice balanced attack. FBS prospect who will be special at the next level.
Gary Maddox (23) RB, Trinity
Every knows the star running back Ollie Gordon committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Ollie has been killing it this year but what about his counterpart you might ask? Gary Maddox has showcased some special talent out of the backfield this season and has made his name known to many. Maddox holds one offer to SMU at the moment and I suspect that number to raise significantly this year. Last game Maddox had 15 carries for 196 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.
