Top Five Class of 2026 Wide Receivers

By:

Texas high school football continues to produce some of the nation’s top wide receiver talent, and the Class of 2026 is no exception. From explosive playmakers to powerful downhill runners, these five elite wideouts have dominated the competition and are attracting attention from major college programs. In this article, we break down the top five wide receivers in Texas for 2026, highlighting their stats, scouting reports, recruiting updates, and junior year highlights.

Top Five 2026 Texas High School Football Wide Receivers

1. Jalen Lott – WR, Panther Creek (Frisco, TX) – 6-0, 170 lbs

Jalen Lott – WR, Panther Creek, 247sports.com

Jalen Lott is an athlete from Frisco Panther Creek known for his versatility on the field. He has the ability to play as a wide receiver, defensive back, and contribute to special teams. Scouts commend his explosive speed, quick cuts, and playmaking ability when he has the ball. His physical build indicates that he could potentially add weight, which may influence his position at the collegiate level.

Lott’s versatility is his calling card—he’s a dynamic return man and a threat in the open field. His recent performance against Lake Dallas highlights his game-breaking potential, though he’ll need to refine his route-running to solidify his status as a pure wide receiver.

Lott has garnered significant attention as a 2026 prospect with offers from top programs, including Texas (one of his top schools), Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, and LSU, totaling over 40 offers currently.

He’s planning visits to narrow down his list, with Texas, Oregon and others among the frontrunners due to proximity and interest.

2. Brayden Robinson – WR, Red Oak (Red Oak, TX) – 5-9, 150 lbs

As a smaller-framed wide receiver from Red Oak High School, he’s likely still emerging on the recruiting radar, with most attention focused on his senior season (assuming he’s in the 2025 or 2026 class—exact class year unconfirmed).

At 5-9 and 150 lbs, Robinson fits the mold of a slot receiver or return specialist. Brayden’s combination of speed and productivity makes him a highly sought-after prospect. Braden has earned 49 division I offers with many programs wanting this Lone Star top receiever. As of March 24, 2025, he has included Notre Dame in his top four schools amoung others.

3. Kaydon Finley – WR, Aledo (Aledo, TX) – 6-1, 185 lbs

Kaydon holds a scout grade of 82 from ESPN, ranking 19th in his position nationally and 11th in the state of Texas for the class of 2026.  He has received 36 division I offers from multiple programs, including Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, and Florida. 5. Mike Brown – WR, Legacy SSS (Spring, TX) – 5-11, 165 lbs

At 5-11 and 165 lbs, Brown fits the profile of a slot receiver or outside speed threat. Mike is a versatile P4-caliber receiver prospect with potential for both outside and slot positions. Exhibits instinctive red-zone playmaking and spatial awareness. Strong football pedigree and impressive track record enhance athletic profile. Demonstrates above-average testing and sub-11-second 100-meter time. Areas for improvement include consistent in-game speed, route-running nuance, and RAC threat development. Projects as a competent P4-level pass-catcher with genetic and athletic upside for future growth.
