Last week had some a lot of top headlines make the news, everything from coaches being fired or let go at some prominent division I schools like TCU’s head coach Gary Patersons, and others. To recruits de-committing and opening up their recruitment, we made a few notes and also will fill you on some of the top offers to some of the best recruits from around the state on this weeks segment of The Recruiting Trail.

Nicholas Anderson (22) WR, Katy

Last week Katy’ s four-star wide receiver, Nicholas Anderson, committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. Anderson is a national 100 player according to 247 sports, and former commit to the the University of Oregon. However, on the same day Anderson de-commited from the ducks,– he gave his commitment to the Sooners.

Matthew Golden (22) WR, Klein Cain

Following the dismissal of long time TCU Head coach, Gary Paterson, Klein Cains star wide receiver made the decision to de-commit from the horned frogs and open up his recrutiment 100 percent. Making Golden one of the highest rated wide receiver recruits on the market. Since his de-committment from TCU, the Texas longhorns, Minnesota Golden Gophers and the LSU tigers have all made their offer to NO.32 ranked wide receiver in the nation according to 247 sports.

Curlee Thomas IV (22) Edge, Nolan Catholic

Received an offer from West Virgina at the beginning of last week. One of the nations best edge rushers and under-rated recruits adds to his collection of 45 division I offers.

Harris Sewell (23) OL, Permian

Clemson offered after a visit Harris took to Death Valley. Adds to his collection of 23 other division one schools like Alabama, Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, OU, Oregon and others.

Samuel Omosigho (23) WR, Crandall

Received an offer from the Sooners last week and the Washington State Huskies. Omosigho has been on fire this year, and is one reciever recruit to know in the 2023 cycle. Last month, the Michigan Wolverines made their offer to the junior recruit.

Marquise Collins (23) RB, College Station

Collin has solidified himself amoungst the top running backs in the 2023 cycle in the state and more the likely the nation. The 2023 class of running backs is loaded here in Texas, ad Collins is one of the top 10 if not 5 backs for me Texas Tech made their offer, Collin has 7 other offers, no stars and is flying under the radar, but I think should explode in recruiting this offseason.

Zina Umeozulu (24) Edge, Allen

One of the top edge rushers in the 2024 class has been on fire this season with offers rolling in the. The Alamba crimson tide made their offer last week, Umeozulu has been offered by the Sooners ( following the offer from bama), Texas A&M, Texas, and the Flordia Gators.

Calvin Harvey (22) OL, Ridge Point

The Ridge point offensive linemen made his commitment last week to the Oklahoma state Cowboys , you can read more about that story here.

Aeryn Hampton (24) ATH, Dangerfield

Hampton was on fire last week with offers from Oklahoma state, UTSA, and the Texas Longhorns.

Julian Humphrey (22) DB, Clear lake

Following his recommitment from the gators, one of the nations best defensive back prospects released his new top three schools: Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M. Texas A&M made some major moves last week and landed some big time recruits, that could play a role in Humphreys decision, after I think him being close to calling the Georgia Bulldogs home.

Jaylon Guilbeau (22) DB, Memorial

Received an offer from Boston college. Still committed to Tcu but we will see if that last and if he does not follow in the foot steps off some of his peers.

Kyle Parker (23) WR, Lovejoy

Received an offer from the university of Arizona

Dylan Raiola (24) QB, Burleson

One of the top QBs in the 2024 class getting flooded with offers this year, Notre Dame offered to start of the week followed by the University of Arizona

Andrew Paul (22) RB, Parish Episcopal

One of the breakout running backs this year having a specitacular senior season is Paul. His recruitment has been on fire, last week he had some offers from Michigan State and then Auburn was followed up on the same day.

Cameron Cook (23) RB, Stony Point

Cooke was offered by Ole Miss las week. Cook has one of the running backs to burst on the recruiting scene this season. He is an unranked running back but I don’t believe it will be long in till he recieves more than a couple stars by his name, this running backs special. Offers infuse Cincinnati, USC, Kansas and others.

Davhon Keys (24) ATH, Aledo

Received his first DI offer from Pitt.
