Today we are ending near taking a look at the top stock rising recruits who made a name for themselves last season and are the rise the spring with interest and offers. Here are the top stick rising 2023 linebackers here in the state of Texas that have been on the rise and are players to know.
Biggest Risers
Clear Falls linebackerĀ Corey Kelly, Parish Episcopal’sĀ Tre Williams, Cy Wood’sĀ Dylan Rodgers,Ā and Lancaster Noah Boulieu.Ā
One of the biggest stock risers this spring could arguably be between, Corey Kelly and Tre Williams However, Parish Episcopal’s linebacker and edge defender Tre Williams takes the cake.
With an impressive junior season racking up 129 tackles, 24.5 TFLs, 6 PBUs, 2 forced fumbles, 2 recovers, and a whopping 11 sacks last season. Williams wreaked havoc in backfields last year, to say the least and picked up virtually all of his offers this year besides two out of his eighteen Division I offers.
Schools like Cal, Nebraska, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, and others have all offered Williams.
Corey Kelly exploded on the scene last season as well with his explosiveness rushing off the edge and size. Last season Kelly compiled 97 tackles, 16 TFLs, 11 PBUs and 4 sacks. He’s got a high motor that can be used to fly sideline to sideline and hardly gives up yardage.
This spring Kelly’s recruiting has seen an uptick in offers coming from schools like Indiana, Mississippi State, Memphis, Missouri, and Utah this spring. Bringing up his total offers up from five total offers up too eleven.
One of the best middle linebacker recruits in the 2023 class happened to really take off last season and solidify himself as a prospect to know. Held one offer from Ole Miss going into last season. Now has a total of eight divisions I offers. Most recently to offer UTSA, Mississippi State, and Memphis.
Last but not least as a recruit on the come up is Lancaster’s Noah Boulieu; who didn’t pickup his first offer until midway through last season. Now has a total of eight.
