HOUSTON – This Friday December 3rd, Fort Bend Hightower (11-2) will take on Paetow (12-1) at Houston Rice Stadium at 7pm. Bring the popcorn because this will be one game to watch.
The Paetow football team has been one that has made their mark this season and let everyone know they are here and here to make some noise. Their talent is found up front run the trenches, and in their running game.
On the ground, Paetow features a two headed monster out of their backfield in junior running backs Damyrion Phillips and senior Jacob Brown. Both have rushed for a combined effort off over 2,000 yards this season and both nearly equally split with Phillips at the forefront of the pack with 1,271 yards rushing, 19 touchdowns on 169 carries this season.
The Hightower football team will definitely have their work cut out for them stopping that vicious panther run game. Hightower has a few offensive weapons themselves in star wide receiver Caleb Douglas, breakout sophomore quarterback Kedron Penson Jr. who has thrown for over 2,259 yards and 19 touchdowns this season.
The rushing attack for Hightower has been equally impressive this season with another breakout player on that offense, sophomore running back Jeremy Payne; Payne has rushed for just over 1,300 yards this season and 9 touchdowns. Runs beautifully in between the tackles, has that break away speed that can also really hurt defenses.
Hightower beats Manvel for a second time this year, 31-21 and will face Katy Paetow next.@HightowerFB, @jeremypayne_, @kaesmiff06, @Kj_Penson7, @Caedeezy, @alijahjones11#ihss #txhsfb #txhsfootball pic.twitter.com/DBc7oH9WLW

This game could easily be in the double digit scoring range, but I think the game will come down to Paetow’s defense having to step to shutdown that Hightower offense that seems like it has the edge walking into this one.
