FRISCO – The DeSoto eagles will be looking for revenge this time around. If you recall, or if you missed it, these two Texas,– national powerhouses went head-to-head back in September of this year. The outcome? Duncanville steam-rolled DeSoto 42-21.The panthers running game and defense proved to be too much in that game for DeSoto to handle.
At the star in Frisco on Saturday, we all will witness one of the best heavy weight playoff matchups of the year between to respected opponents. Featuring division I caliber recruits on both sides of the ball. The Duncanville football roster is loaded as well as DeSoto’s.
A high powered Duncanville running game and their defense has been the reason why they have experienced such success and are NO.1 in district this season. The Panthers defense have consistently pitched shutout games and kept their opponent’s offense out of the game.

Defensively, Duncanville is one of the best in the state and feature a star studded cast. Players like senior linebacker Jordan Crook, defensive end Omari Abor, to name a few are some of the leaders on that side of the ball.
DeSoto has a high powered offense and will be put to the test. It starts with the running game lead by running back Chris Henley Jr. , who has been dominate on the ground this season. Wide recievers like Johnny Cook II, Mike Murphy, have been some of the top targets for DeSoto’s senior quarterback Matthew Allen. The senior gunslinger has been pin point accurate the season and has been very consistent in spreading the rock around.
