HOUSTON – Bridgeland 6-foot-6, two hundred and thirty-pound 4-star tight end, and highly ranked recruit,— Reid Mikeska is on fire this month with offers and seeing his numbers of scholarships skyrocket.
When we say on fire we mean in the month of February alone Reid has received 13 Division I offers. Back in mid-January when we last posted our rankings article, looking at the top tight ends in the 2023 class. Reid only had 17 total offers at the time. Since then his numbers have skyrocketed to a whopping 30.
Scholarship offers from schools like Ole Miss, South Carolina, Utah, and most recently North Carolina as well as many others.
Mikeska is an endzone threat, and has the route running and wheels to gas anybody down the sideline and put up six points for his team. On our rankings, we have Reid inside the top 5, at the NO.3 spot, but he could easily be NO.1, and still can be later on as we rank classes periodically throughout the year.
Eval: Reid is one of the best in class, and can easily be NO.1 on this list; he can do it all, is a vertical threat, and can gas people downfield and make his way into the endzone. Is a nasty blocker, that can go all the way in till the whistle is blown, or in till the defender is on the ground, whichever comes first. Will be a dominant force next season and in college.
