We cap off our high school preview of 5A division I football with a look at the top recruits and teams in the region 4 areas. If we missed any recruits or if you would like to nominate your team. Let us know in the comments below.

District 13

Southwest legacy

Southwest legacy was 10-2 last season. Far better than the competition records last season. It’s hard not to think they will be taking district this season. With a talented cohesive unit. Here are some of the standout players we think could earn All-District honors.

District 14

Corpus Christi Miller

The Buccaneers have a talented football team but more particularly on offense. With some seniors returning and some underclassmen coming in, the Buccaneers shouldn’t have much problem winning district. It is playoffs where they have to shine the most and prove them selfs a team worth winning a state title.

Miller All District Recruits

QB Jaedyn Brown (24′) 5-11 / 165

WR Lonnie Adkism (23′) 6′ / 180

RB Ethan Greenwood (23) 5-9 / 210

District 15

Edinburg Vela

It will not be a cake walk taking district for Vela. Dispite going 12-1 on the season last year, Vela has some tough competition whose recrcords are very similar to theirs like McAllen Memorial and PSJA North . What separates them is their talented players who play together like a team and pick up constant and pull out through tough victories. Vela has been a power house for years and they have owned district and will more than likely conutie to do so in their new disctict.

District 16

Harlingen South

The Harlingen Hawks were 1st in their district and nearly went perfect on the season going 7-0 and with an overall season record of 10-1. They will have a shot at taking district this season as compared to the new teams in their district.
