There was some good offensive play last week and we have highlighted some of the top gunslingers from around the Houston area. We complied a bunch of numbers and watch a great deal of game film and came up with a list of the top QBs who had phenomenal performances last week. Here are some of the standout players who have had hot starts to the season and are some of the areas best recruits.
Top QBS of Week 2
Mabrey Mettauer (24), The Woodlands
Mabrey is easily one of the best quarterback recruits in the Houston area and in his class through out the nation. Had him self an impressive second start to the season running people over and showcasing his timing and decision making on all of his throws. All of his passes are on line drives to receivers with accuracy and touch. Mettauer will be a special one to watch for a very long time. Holds early offers to LSU, ULM, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech and Kansas.

The Highlanders come out of the locker room and march right down the field as 2024 QB @MabreyMettauer shows some serious power on this 16 yard scoring run.

JT Fayard (23), Foster
JT has solidified the starting spot and is a new comer on the sense but many prominent college are interested in this QB. In the last game JT threw for over three hundred yards and had over 3 touchdowns on the night. At 6’4″ one hundred and neighs-five pounds he’s got the size, he’s got great mechanics and a quick release. Also shows nice touch on passes and nows when to take a bit off passes or fire one in between tight coverage. Holds interest from schools like Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Oklahama , keep your eye on him this season.
Bishop Davenport (22), SpringÂ
In the blow out win against Klein Oak (49-0) Davenport lead an areal attack and put up almost three hundred yards passing (297) with an amazing 5 touchdowns on the night. Amazing effort and competitiveness this QB has.Shows a beautiful touch on all passes and can beat defenses with his arm or legs. A dangerous QB behind center who will undoubtedly catch a lot of attention this season. Committed to the University of Utah State.

Jakobe Banks (23), Fort Bend Marshall
Banks has been on fire this season, in the 49-7 win against Fort Bend Elkins, Â Jakoby had 169 yards passing through the air with 5 touchdown and 86 yards rushing on the ground. Banks is an athlete who’s recruitment has taken off and is gaining interest from many different schools in the power 5 conferences. Banks has elite speed and athleticism and is typically one of the best athletes on the field at any position.

Cardell Williams (22), WestfieldÂ
This is a good character guy with great arm strength and velocity. Three star quarterback who can march on offense up and down the field and has put up some solid numbers so far here in 2021. look for this QB and party to be in an end zone near you this season. Committed to Tulsa over Houston, New Mexico , McNeese State and others. Should have a great senior campaign this season.
Carson Roper (22),Klein CainÂ
I really like the play of Carson Roper. Making a splash on the season for Klein Cain and having himself a game with just over three hundred yards passing and four touchdowns. I really like that Roper is dangerous through the air or with his legs. Looks comfortable throwing on the run as in the pocket. Not bad size at 6’2″ one hundred eight-five pounds, he has a lean athletic looking frame and good arm strength to pair
Honorable Mentions
Jeff Huff (22), College Station
Dylan Garrett (22), Lamar Consolidated
