The Regional round of Texas High School football playoffs featured some nail biters and some high-scoring games. We covered some of the top games and athletes and game up with some of the best performances from the 3rd Round of playoffs.
Cale Hellums (22) QB, Tomball
Tomball beat Rockwall-Heath 35-21. Hellums, an Army quarterback commit, ran for 311 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries. In the loss, Indiana commit Josh Hoover was 9-18 passing for 179 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
Marquise Collins (23) RB, College Station
College Station beat Frisco Wakeland 45-35. Collins ran for 235 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries.
Nathaniel Palmer (24) RB, College Station
Sophomore running back Nathaniel Palmer returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.
Jared White (22) RB, Wakeland
In the loss,White ran for 48 yards on 14 carries and caught two passes for 93 yards and two scores.
Seth Davis (23) RB, Katy
Katy defeated Houston C.E. King 41-24. Davis ran for 167 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.
Nicholas Anderson (22) WR, Katy
Four-star Oklahoma commit Nicholas Anderson caught eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for a 40-yard score.
CJ Dumas (22) QB, Paetow
Paetow defeated Cedar Park 65-14. Prairie View commit CJ Dumas was 12-15 passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
Rueben Owens (23) RB, El Campo

Zion Brown (24) QB, Atascocita
Atascocita defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point 24-21. Brown was 11-24 passing for 132 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also ran for 63 yards and a score on 13 carries.
Chase Sowell (22) WR, Atascocita
Sowell had five catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Bert Emanuel Jr. (22) QB, Ridge Point
In the loss,Bert was 21-34 passing for 331 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 66 yards and a score on 19 carries.
Kendron Penson Jr. (24) QB, Fort Bend Hightower
Fort Bend Hightower beat Manvel 31-21. Penson Jr. was 11-18 passing for 174 yards and three touchdowns.
Jeremy Payne(24) RB, Fort Bend Hightower
Sophomore Jeremy Payne ran for 224 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.
Keshun Thomas (24) RB, A&M Consolidated
Thomas ran for 229 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.
Lloyd Avant (24) RB, Summer Creek
Summer Creek beat Katy Cinco Ranch 62-41. Avant ran for 178 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Gavin Rutherford (23) QB, Cinco Ranch
In the loss, junior Gavin Rutherford was 29-44 passing for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. He also ran for 27 yards and two scores on 16 carries.
