Houston Offensive Players of the Week

HOUSTON – The football season has been filled with exciting play and we have kept a close watch over the top performers of this season thus far. Each week we are watching over hundreds of games, scores, stats, film, etc to bring you and a spotlight to the top performers from not only the Houston area but the entire state. If you are looking for some of the top defensive recruits we have those guys too. Here are some of the top Defensive Players of the Week from week 8 of the Texas High school football season. 

 

 

Offensive Players of the Week 

 

Wyatt Young (24)| RB|  Tompkins

Wyatt was very rushing the ball for Tompkins on the night  accounting for 7 carries, 131 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns. 

 

De’Monte Seymore (22) | RB |  Manvel

12 carries for 173 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns on the night. Seymore busted out one long run for 75 yards.

 

Damyrion Phillips (23)  | RB | Paetow

In Paetows 74 -0 shutout against Terry, Phillips was a Player of the game with 134 yards rushing in 9 carries and 2 touchdowns on the night.

 

Jake Sock (22)| QB | Pearland

Jake had himself a roller coaster of a game, being down most part of the game and then wiling his team back to a come behind victory. Jake was off the mark a few times through out the night but when it mattered the most, he stepped up and came through helping his team to a 36-30 victory. 

 

PJ Hatter Jr. (23)| QB | Klein Oak

8 completions of 13 attempts and 138 yards passing , plus 177 yards rushing on the ground combining for 4 total touchdowns on the night. 2 of them rushing and the other two passing. Hatter has been impressive this year showcasing his dual threat ability and nearly every game this season. 

 

Jeremiah Hasan (22) | RB | Klein Collins

26 Carrie’s for 137 yards rushing for 1 touchdown in Klein Collins 36-21 win over Klein Cain.

 

Rueben Owens II (23)  | RB | El Campo

The NO. 1 running back in the country and himself a night going for 342 yards rushing on 20 Carrie’s and get this—-5 touchdowns on the night. (no typo)

 

 

Bryce Burgess (24)  | RB | Dawson

19 carries for 124 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.

 

Derek Lagway (24)  | RB | Willis

Lagway helped his team to a victory over College Park, 27-21. He was able to rack up some yards on the ground and air going for 234 total yards of offense (171 yards passing & 63 yards rushing) plus touchdowns on the night passing.

 

Cyrin Myles (23) | RB | Crosby

12 Carrie’s for 16 attempts throwing for 192 yards plus 70 yards rushing on 21 carries, and 5 total touchdowns (3 passing and 2 rushing) leading Crosby to a 57-28 victory over Texas City.

 

Kedrick Reescano (23) | RB | New Caney
