Frisco – TX The Oklahoma Sooners have just landed a commitment from Frisco Emerson four-star QB Michael Hawkins Jr., who will follow in his fathers footsteps to Norman, Oklahoma.
The commitment to Oklahoma comes over 16 other total division I offers Arkansas, TCU, Alabama, and others. Hawkins announces his top two schools would come down the TCU horned frogs or the Oklahoma Sooners but Hawkins ultimately decided to take his talent to the Sooners.
The Sooners get a beast of a quarterback 6-foot-2, 185lbs Hawkins who can hurt defenses with his legs or arm Hawkins completed 148 of 264 passes for 2,007 yards and 20 touchdowns and also rushed for 400 yards and four scores earning him first-team all-district honors as a junior at Allen.
EVAL: Hawkins is a dual-threat quarterback who can make some big plays look routine, and put nice velocity, and display great accuracy on all throws. He is ranked as our NO. 3 overall quarterback in the class of 2024 in our new year rankings of the top quarterbacks.
