AUSTIN, Texas – The 40 acres will be loaded with talented recruits this weekend. Some of the states best young talent in the 2024 and 2023 class will be in attendance, as well as one senior star wide receiver (see below) to visit the game as the Longhorns take on Oklahoma State this Saturday.
The longhorns coming off a devastating loss last week against the Sooners, —look to rebound this week against the Cowboys. In attendance will be a few young talented recruits from around the state of Texas. Many just into their sophomore season accompanied by just a few juniors. Here’s a look at some of the top recruits visiting Austin this weekend.

Recruits Visting this Weekend
Mark Moore (24) | 6’1″ 195 | QB | Americas HS
Mark looks like one of the up-and-coming sophomore quarterbacks and could very well be at the top before long. At 6’1″ Moore still has more time to grow and add more mass to his frame as he progresses. He’s made a few stops at other campuses like UTEP earlier this month, next stop is Austin for him to check out the longhorns.
Derrick McFall (24) | 5’11” 180 | ATH | Tyler HS
Derricks’ first division I offer has come from the longhorns. McFall is one who has blown up this season and for good reason, he brings the right balance of speed and strength and can hurt defenses in many different ways. Speed, agility, and his route running ability are some things that make him special on the offensive side of the ball as well as having the ability to go up and catch those contested passes. Won’t is long before more offers start to come in for this guy. Look for him to be one with more than a few stars and offers at the end of his career.
Carson Dean (23) | 6’4 225 | ATH | Hebron HS
For being only a sophomore, I love Deans’s height, size, speed, and strength rushing off the edge. He can surely get after the QB and into the backfield. Holds offers from Baylor and Washington.
Connor Strogh (23) | 6’7″ 345 | OL | Wakeland HS
One of the more talented and athletically gifted linemen in the 2023 class is Strogh, bringing his size and ability into play, make him one of the top recruits at his position in the 2023 cycle. Strogh has the size already to be a high-caliber FBS prospect however, I do think he can still trim down a little and add more lean mass to his body, that being said, he still moves well for a big three hundred pounder. He can move the pile, and be a nasty blocker there is no doubt about that, and also shows good footwork in pass/run protection. I think slimming down and adding a more devasting punch to his arsenal will propel him to that next level of the national spotlight.
Evan Stewart (22) | 6’0″ 175 | WR | Liberty
Not a lot of introduction is needed here for the nation’s NO.1 wide receiver prospect in the country in five-star, Evan Stewart. With 37 division I offers Stewart could go anywhere in the country, he’ll be in Austin this weekend, and longhorns fans are hoping to make the best of impressions on would could be their star wide receiver of the future. Texas is in the top conversation for Stewart, along with Alabama, Florida, LSU, as high contenders.
Hey Austin, see ya in a few

Mikal Harrison-Pilot (23) | 6’0″ 185 | DB/ATH | Temple
Mikal is one of the most highly rated safety in his class in the nation, let alone the state. This 4 star DB will be attending the game this weekend and has already made trips to Austin before. Pilot has 36 Division I offers from schools across the country like Baylor, Cincinnati, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon, and others including the longhorns.
