These are the guys that fill up the stadium and sell out tickets. Here are some of the top prospects in the transfer portal right now.
Jeremiah Hawkins (17) | 5’9” 165 |WR | Texas State
The former Cal bear first transferred to Texas State at the beginning of this year and ended up back in the transfer portal this month. Guess things didn’t work out for Hawkins but now he’s looking for a new home. A former three-star prospect. Hawkins had offers from Hawaii, Nevada, Colorado, and Boise State to name a few. He is below average height for a receiver but he has elite speed and hands. Can run excellent routes and stop on a dime.
William Brown (18) | 6’4” 190 | SMU
William is a former three-star quarterback prospect from Lamar Consolidated. As a passer brown was 53-85 threw for 625 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2018. He’s got great size, speed, and athleticism. Not a bad receiver who knows how to run routes and get open.
Caden Leggett (18) | 6’2” 180 | Texas Tech
Caden has the requisite size and frame at the receiver position. He’s got long legs and arms and has a terrific burst off the ball. He has great acceleration, can run beautiful routes, and has soft, sticky hands. Excellent target as a receiver and has that big-time playmaking ability every time the balls in his hands.
Brennon Dingle (16) | 5’10” 180 | UTSA
Brennon was an athlete back in high school that could do it all on the field and be very versatile and play multiple positions. Not the tallest but has a great build. Played excellent at the slot receiver position and has dangerous speed.
Dedrick Wilson (19) | 6’1” 195 | UTSA
Athlete and former QB in high school. He could play every skilled position. He has the size, speed, and ability to be better than most in the field. Didn’t have a bad arm either in high school but I liked him best catching passes and running them in for six. Great prospect with a lot of potential.
