DFW Top Wide Receivers of Week 2

By:

The second week of Texas High School football was jammed packed with exciting play. These receivers made their marks last weeks of being some of the best players of the game at their positions. Here are some of the top receiver recruits in the DFW area to know keep your eye on this season.

Top Wide Receivers

Jordan Hudson – Sr, Garland Wr

The SMU commit at no surprise has been having himself a special season thus far. Last week and the week before Jordan was able to put up some monster numbers. The star studded wide receiver is just simply better than most out on the feel and happens t be one of the best young talents I have have had the pleasure of witnessing. Hudson a dominate receiver, had a large catch radius because of his long arms and vertical ability making his 6’1″ hieght really feel like 6’4″ out on the field because of his athletic abilities. One receiver who will be dominate all season long, at the next level and even possibly on Sundays.

Games Stats: 5 rec, 175 receiving yards and 3 TDS

Landon Samson – Sr, Southlake Carroll  WR

Committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Samson has been one of the proflict receivers to watch in action this season helping boost his young quarterbacks play in Kaden Anderson who has been absolutely lights out this year. In the game against Rockwall-Heath , Samson helped lead his team to a one point victory with a final score of 36-35 Dragons. On that night Samson had 8 receptions with 153 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.

2021 Stats: 13 rec, 280 yards passing, 4 TDs

Jace Wilson – Sr, Guyer WR

Jace was able to lead his team to a win as underdogs going into the match up against Denton Ryan. Jace a leader on offense has great size at the wide receiver position at 6’4″ one hundered and eight-five pounds, he definitely passes the eye test on the field and doesn’t disappoint out in his play. Long arms, paired with his speed and route running ability make him a matchup nightmare for most. One of the few senior recruits at the top of the charts still yet to commit.Holds 12 division I offers from schools like Colorado, Kansas, LA Tech and others.

Jordyn Tyson – Sr, Allen WR

Three-star receiver who is committed to the Colorado Buffaloes leads the Allen Eagles in receiving yards so far this season. In the loss against Atascocita Tyson had 11 receptions for 132 yards and 1 touchdown. Although Allen didn’t get the win they have a lot to look for in their talented offense lead by this star receiver.

2021 Stats: 17 rec, 219 yards rec, 1 TD

Ja’ryan Wallace – Jr, Braswell WR

Wallace is a multi sport athlete that plays basketball and football. Last week Wallace had put up two touchdowns on the port and neared 100 yards receiving with 6 receptions on the night. Not a bad start to the season for the young star receiver who is starting to draw a lot of interest. At 6’3″ one hundred and eighty-five pounds Wallace paired with his size and speed makes for a lethal combination.

2021 Stats: 12 rec, 178 yards rec, 2TDs

Jordan Nabors – Sr, Rockwall-Heath WR

A three-star receiver committed to the Baylor Bears, Nabors helped Rockwall-Heath to a close comeback with 4 receptions, 61 yards and 1 touchdown on the night. Was one of Star QBs Josh Hoovers star receivers on the night and one of his favorite targets along with a wealth of other talented players on the Rockwall-Heath team. Nabors played at Sachse High School last season and also competes in track and field. Has a career total of over 1,000 yards recieiving and over 60 receptions in three years as starter.

Noble Johnson – Jr, Rockwall WR

No stars don’t care , this is rockstar of a wide receiver who holds early offers to schools like LA Tech, Tennessee and UTSA. All offers coming this year in the summer and smilingly going back to back from one another. Johnsons recruiting will contuie to take off and you will undoubtedly hear more and more about this wide receiver this season and for years to come.  At 6’3″ two hundred and five pounds , Johnsons got the size, the route running ability to stop on a dime and the speed to break away in vertical routes. Also not afraid to run people over, in the last games in the 75-28 victory over Dallas Jesuit , Johnson went off and had 8 receptions , 194 yards receiving and 2 TDs on the night. Keep your eye on this receiver who could move up on a lot of charts and recruiting boards this season.
