The Woodlands,TX – TCU landed a huge commitment from a top 2024 offensive lineman recruit in The Woodlands, Ryan Hughes. Hughes announced his commitment on Twitter Saturday afternoon, choosing the Frogs over offers from 12 total offers from schools like , Houston, Nebraska, Virginia, and UTSA among others.
Hughes has visited TCU multiple times throughout his recruitment, including last Thursday when he was part of a select group of prospects that had dinner at head coach Sonny Dykes’ home. It could have been during this time that helped the Frogs seal the deal and land a commitment.
Hughes joins Aledo quarterback Hauss Hejny, who committed to the Frogs two weeks ago, making Hughes the second commitment for the Frogs in the class of 2024.
At 6-foot-6, 295-pounds, Hughes is versatile enough to play tackle or guard and could make an immediate impact at the next level. Hughes is a dominant run-blocking offensive lineman that can bulldoze defenders in the ground and shows a solid wide base driving defenders off the line of scrimmage.
