Head coach Brent Venables and Oklahoma land a huge commitment from four-star Lewisville defensive back Jaydan Hardy. Hardy is the son of ex-Tennessee Volunteer and NFL former linebacker Darryl Hardy. Jaylan recently released his top five list that included SMU, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Oregon. However, the Sooners had been at the forefront for Hardy and ultimately landed the commitment.

Hardy is rated as one of the number one defensive backs in the nation, let alone the state of Texas. The Oklahoma defense with head coach Venables heading the defense and landing other top recruits in the class. The Sooners look like championship contenders within the conference in the near future.
Hardy announced his commitment while in Norman for Oklahoma’s spring game. In a short amount of time, the Sooners staff has heated up quickly on the recruiting trail, picking up a handful of verbal commits from recruits from the Lone Star state.
At just 5-foot-11, Hardy his size wont blow you away but his play will. Hardy’s physical play translates to his tackling ability and attack on the football. Hardy can lay the lumber coming downhill from the safety position who delivers a devastating blow to ball carriers when he makes contact.
