The NO.1 quarterback in the nation in the 2022 class Southlake Carroll’s, Quinn Ewers will forgo his senior season and enroll early at Ohio State.

The five-star makes the decision to make this major life decision at the start of the Texas high school football season and just as teams are getting back to practice. Quinn’s decision comes after much debate and speculation whether or not the star QB would play this season.

Quinn was originally scheduled to enroll at Ohio State in January of 2022 but now will be an early enrollee for the buckeyes and coach Days coaching staff. Ewers will add some depth to that quarterback room as the buckeyes will now have four scholarship players on the roster.

A quarterback room, that is full of highly-rated recruits coming out of high school and all of whom have never started at the collegiate level or for the buckeyes.

Ewers will have a fighting chance to make it as the starting QB for the buckeyes this coming up season but has plenty of work to do as he will only be on campus one month before the start of the 2021 season.

By enrolling early Ewers has a multitude of benefits like gaining that college-level playing experience and building up his resume to enter a year earlier into the NFL draft. Which would be in 2024 instead of 2025.

Ewers finishes his high school career as one of the most highly rated and sought-after five-star quarterbacks to come out of the state in a long time or possibly ever. A career total of 6,445yards passing, an eye-popping 73 touchdowns, and only 8 interceptions, plus 701 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.
