DFW – The Texas Longhorns have landed one of the best defensive backs in the 2023 class in Arlington Seguin Saftey, Jamel Johnson.

Johnson is a nationally ranked prospect and one of head coach Steve Sarkisian’s and staff’s top prospects in the 2023 cycle.
With over 32 divisions I offer, Johnson had his choice of playing anywhere across the country to schools like Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, OU, and many others.
Johnson had made his first visit to campus back in June for the Texas Junior Day camps and obviously came away loving the campus and the program that the new regime has brought in.
From what we’ve seen on tape, Johnson can be very versatile on the defensive side of the ball and be used at multiple positions.
The Longhorns got them a lockdown cornerback who will more than likely play that positions at the next level , depending on the scheme. The biggest factor here is versatility and the star they get in Jamel Johnson for the longhorns.
