THE WOODLANDS, TX. – One of the top quarterbacks recruits in the class of 2024 in the nation in Mabrey Mettauer has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.
The 6-foot-5 quarterback is arguably one of the best in the state, and neck and neck with a few others. The Badgers get a quarterback who can pick apart defenses with his legs or arm.
Mettauer has the size and next level skills already to go in and be an early contributor. The badgers land someone many would call “Trevor Lawrences look alike.” but one who could potentially be better than the star Clemson,and now pro quarterback.
With players progressing because of extra training time like 7-on-7 and personal trainers, young players are developing at a faster pace than ever before.
New Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell is off to a great recruiting start attracting top talent like Mabrey to commit. Others could follow the new coaching regime and the other top star recruits that commit.
Mabrey had 24 division I offers and chose the badger over others like Cal, North Carolina, and TCU, to name a few.
