The Sooners just got better in the wide receiver room today by adding depth with a 4-star prospect in Jaquaize Pettaway announcing his commitment today.
Pettaway is the nations 8th ranked wide receiver per 247sports composite rankings. The 5-foot-11 and 170-pound wide receiver choose the Sooners over 27 other divisions I scholarships from schools like Alabama, Texas and others.
The Red River rivalry was in full affect in this recruiting battle between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners for Pettaway. Ultimately the Sooners got the nod and one of the nations best wide receiver recruits in Pettaway will be taking his talents to Norman, Oklahoma.
Jaquaize is very light footed, he is quick of the line of scrimmage and can fly down field and over top of corners quickly. With his elite speed, route running and hands. Pettaway can be a threat for six points anytime he has the football in his hands.
