DENTON, TX – Originally committed to Notre Dame; five star defensive back Peyton Bowens has flipped and committed to the Oregon Ducks.
The ducks recruiting class is on fire and Peyton adds to the mix and talent that has been a suprise to many on the biggest day of recruiting, National Singing day.
Oregon knows how to recruit nationally, and Texas has long been a recruiting hot bed for the ducks. They star studded cast includes many 2023 players from Texas with plenty of stars.
Peyton is one of the, if not the best safety in the nation. He has the next level size and skills to contribute immediately anywhere. He has been terrific and has had a great resume building with Denton Guyer where he shined on defense for them .
With a younger brother who is also talented in four-star defensive back,Eli Bowen, this could be a package deal for the ducks. However, time will tell.
Peyton finished his career with 32 total division I offers, was a star track athlete that ran, competed in triple jump, long jump and relay teams. an all around athlete with size and speed. Can play all three phases of the game: offense, special teams, and of course defense.

The Ducks get a defensive back with excellent ball skills,awareness, and a dangerous center fielder who can cover the entire back half of the field by himself. Future is bright for Bowen, projects to be a highly decorated player in college and be an early draft round pick.
