Brandeis top Players
JC Evans (24) | 6’4″ 190 | Quarterback
We have featured JC many times on our website, most recenty on our list of Top 2024 QBs and San Antonio Area Prospects to Know. JC is easily one of the top ten QBs in his class. At 6’4″ as a freshmen last season. JC was walking on to campus already looking like a college prospect for the Broncos. In covering 7-on-7 this offseason, I got to see Evans play and was very impressed with his strong arm, size and accuracy with the football. Showed impressive mechanics, timing and decision makig his throws. Keep your eye on this QB who could have a breakout season this year.
Aiden Inesta-rodriguez (22) | 5’7″ 145 | DB, WR
Aiden can do it all on the field. Dont let the height fool you or the hype. Just watch him on the feild and you will see a player he has supreme athletic ability with the vertical abiltiy to climb the latter and go get the football in the air. Whether that be on offense or defense, Aiden can make some big time plays look routine. Looks strong as a defensive back and thats where I think he can shine the most at and help the broncos most this season.
Julian Yzaguirre (22) | 6’1″ TBD | WR
Yzaguirre has a great build as a reciever and is an endzone threat who shows great awerness at putting six points up on the board. Last season Yzaguirre was the broncos second leading reciever and showed why with his soft hands and great awerness on the feild. Look for him to be a strong contruibture this seeason for the broncos.
Mateo Montoya (22) | 6’6″ 250 | IOL
The anchor of the offensive line is this interior offensive lineman, Mateo Montoya. Montoya has Division I size and talent which is why he holds offers to Incarnate Word, Lamar, and SMU. He can wash down defenders on that offensive line and open up some big holes in the running game. He’s got a good first punch, maintains low pad level and wide base, and can drive defenders into the dirt.
O'Connors top Players
John Locke (22) | 6’4″ 215 | Tight-end
Locke held interest from schools like the University of Houston, SMU, Texas Tech, and UTSA but ultimately ended up committing to Colorado State after a great camp performance this past July. Locke has had an impressive career so far with over 40 receptions, 640 yards, and 10 touchdowns. Locke primary played as a receiver in his junior season and looked like a strong one at that. Locke is a vertical threat and match-up nightmare with is above average height and size. He is a problem for most defensive backs and shows how he can use elite speed and long arms to snatch the ball out of the air in the endzone seemingly at will over defenders. Watch out for this special player this season to have an amazing senior campaign.
