Houston Standout Recruits of Week 5

By:

HOUSTON – We had a lot of fired up action in week 5 of the Texas high School regular season. Here is a look at some of best recruits to know who stood out to us in last weeks games. Here are your Honorable Mentions, Recruits on the Rise and MVP of the week.

MVP of the Week

Ty Buckmon (22) | 6’2″ 180 | QB | The Woodlands College Park

Ty is a dual sport athlete (basketball & football) and dual threat quarterback. Teams have to account for this QBs speed and arm strength because he can hurt you with both. He may not have put up the highest stat line of last week but leading his team to a 49-13 victory over Mayde Creek was very impressive. Earning Buckmon our MVP of the week. Keep your eye on this QB who already has a few offers to play at the next level, he could be a breakout season this year and earn a few more.

Honorable Mentions

Jake Sock (23) | 6’2″ 185 |  QB |  Pearland

Jake had himself a game last week completing  7 for 13 of his passes and accounted for over 300 yards of total offense. (267 yards passing). However, Sock has had a problem with the turn over bug throwing for a few interceptions already this season. He’ll look to rebound the rest of the season and increase that stat line.

PJ Hatter (23) | 6’2″ 185 |  QB |  Klein Oak

Hatter has been one of the more impressive dual threats leading that loaded Klein Oak offense. At his disposal, Hatter has plenty of offensive weapons to spread the wealth too like WR/ATH Kaleb Black who is also having himself a phenomenal start of the season. The pair and the rest of the receiving crew putting up some strong offensive number, look for Hatter to continue put up some serious number this season.

Tre Guerra (23) | 6’2″170 | QB | Keller

Tre has great size at 6’2″ almost 6’3″, he’s got some great arm strength and has been halving himself a season.

JT Fayard (23) | 6’4″ 195| QB | Foster

JT is having himself a breakout year just as we predicted the young QB would have this season. Coming into the season with multiple interest from colleges in the SEC and Big 12, Fayard is putting everyone on notice this season by completing 52-72 of his passes and throwing for nearly 900 yards already this season. Keep your eyes on the recruitment of this All-State candidate QB from the Houston area.
