Houston Top Receivers of Week 3

By:

HOUSTON – The third week of Texas High School football did not disappoint. Some heavy weight matchups took place and we have identified which players stood-out. We will include tight ends and wide receivers in our list of the top receivers of week 3.

Terrence Fontenot (22) Fort Bend Marshall

Terrence looked like one of the best receivers on the field in the last game.He was putting on a show and was able to come up with a couple of touchdowns on some deep throws from QB Jacob Banks. At 5’9″ is undersized but he runs good routes and is a speedster on the field. Definitely one who will put up some more points up in the score board this season.

Jaquize Pettaway (23) Langham Creek

Pettaway another star receiver out of the Houston area who has been lighting up the score board this season. One of the top receivers still uncommitted at the time, holds 17 division I offers from power 5 schools around the country . He will undoubtedly earn more offers this season and be one of the very best in his class this season and the next.

Jaquill Harrison (23) Oak Ridge

I very was impressed with Harrison’s quick feet of the LOS and his ability to make himself a great target. He runs some smooth routes, he can stop on a dime and shows off his soft hands. Excellent receiver to watch this season who will be special for Oak Ridge this season.

Joseph Richard (22) Northshore

Richard has some great size at 6’4, he has a tall , big frame, with good hands. A receiver that a little under the radar right now but not for long.

Nessiah Dunham (23) Northshore

Dunham is a solid hands catcher and is smooth in his routes. I liked his productivity in the game and was able to come up with some catches.

Travis Sims (22)  Spring

Sims is explosive off the line of scrimmage and has some lethal speed. He is one of QB Bishop Davenports favorite targets and for for good reason. Shows he’s a hands catcher and can win those tuff contested catches in the air, Sims can leave defenders in the dust and gas them down the field. Last game had 7 rec, for 155 yards, 2 TDS

Leland Smith (22)  Strake Jesuit

Don’t sleep on Leland , he’s been has been having continuous success week in and week out. His stats thus far this season are 22 receptions for 439 yards and 4 touchdowns. This is a tight end who could pass for a strong outside No.1 receiver, that’s how good he is in his routes and hands. End zone threat every time his team is in the Redzone.

Matthew Golden (22) Klein Cain

One of the top recieve3r for Klein Cain who had 9 receptions, for 152 yards and 1 TD. Committed to play for the TCU horned frogs next season , this four Starr receiver hassd been putting on a show this season.

Nathanil Figgers (23) Rudder

At 6’5 this receiver is already a mismatch for most. Figgers is under the radar but has been playing excellent. Last game he accounted for 2 receptions for 71 yards last game and 1 touchdown, has 12 rec for 248 yards rec and 2 TDS this season. Special receiver to keep your eye on who could see a boast in his recruitment.

Kevin Holmes Jr (23) Rudder

Multi-sport athlete basketball and football, Rudder has themselves some athletes on the offensive side of the ball. At 6’4 Holmes could be a forward on thee court and on the football field he is dominate. He looks explosive
