Houston Top QBs of Week 3

By:

HOUSTON – Week three of the regular season kicked off with some exciting play and some emerging stars. We give you a look at some of the top gunslingers from the Houston area who had themselves standout performances last week and this season. Earning them spot on our top list of Quarterback recruits of week 3.

Cole Francis (22) Tompkins

The Tompkins offense has been clicking on all cylinders this year, lead by Francis as the signal-caller.  In three games Francis has thrown for 764 yards and 8 touchdowns with a 60% completion rating. Pretty impressive stats but even better-looking performances when you watch him play. This QB has good mechanics, footwork, and a nice arm to pair.

Mabrey Mettauer (24) The Woodlands

Despite a loss to a well fought game against Bridgeland, Mabrey was still able to showcase his talents and make some very nice throws on the game. Just picked up another offer from the Flordia Gators last week. Plenty more to come for one of the nations best in the 2024 class.

Tanner Murray (22) Langham Creek

Murray’s on fire in this game and lead Langham Creek to an impressive win. Murray has a strong arm and great accuracy. Recruitment for him just started to take off this year and is one QB to definitely keep your eye on.

Carson Roper (22) Klein Cain

Roper is a dual threat who can absolutely light up score boards with his arm or legs. This season is a breakout year for him and I suspect his recruitment to begin to take off. Last game he went 17 of 26 with 232 yards passing and 2 touchdowns, and also tacked on 101 yards rushing on 11 carries with 1 TD.

Jackson Hamilton  – Pearland

Jakson lead his team to impressive close well fought victory last week earning himself a spot on our list. He was making accurate throws and showed perfect timing and footwork. This is a QB to watch this season. Only a sophomore this QB has plenty of time to grow and more to his game but he is already checking off all of the boxes  and this season should be a special one for his recruitment. Already holds offers from Texas A&M , Maryland and Howard.

DJ Lagway (24) Willis

One of the best young signals callers in the 2024 class is Lagway. A dual-threat, multi sport athlete who has gained a lot of attention even before the season started earning D1 offers. He’s been playing phenomenl this season and I see him counting to grow and mold into one of the top QBS in the state and also the nation by the end of his high school career.

Bishop Davenport (22) Spring

Bishop has been lighting defenses up this season. Davenport and that spring offense look strong this season and I believe this Utah State commit will start to grab the national spotlight this year. Last game had an amazing 398 yards passing , 5 touchdowns, 114 yards rush, & 2  rushing TDs. Looked to easy for him on the field.

Bryce Fucik (23) Strake Jesuit

Fucik is an impressive quarterback and is one to know this season. Last game he went off and had 7 passing TDs and 1 rushing. At 6’2” 175 I like his size , arm strength and he definitely looks just as comfortable throwing on the run as he does is in the pocket. This will be a breakout year for this Strake Jesuit QB.

Conner Weigman(22) Bridgeland

The Texas A&M commit had him self a game with 22/31 passing, 468 yards yards  through the air and 4 TDS plus 108 yards rushing

Cornelius Banks (22) New Caney

At 6’3” Banks has a tall lengthy frame with room to add some mass at the next level. Banks has a rifle of an arm and can fit the ball into some tight windows and hit receivers in stride down field. Shows he can work the pockets and hang in the face of pressure and deliver strikes. I like this QB, I think he’s underrated and this season should do some wonders for his recruitment if he keeps playing the way he has been. Last game had 17 carries for 139 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns

Brady Dever (23)  Fort Bend Chrsitan Academy

Brady has had an impassive start of the season. He is one QB that could move up a lot of charts and recruiting boards this season. The numbers and film speak for themselves.
