Four-star DB Bryce Anderson commits to Texas A&M

By:

College Station – much speculation has gone into which school one of the best defensive backs in the state and nation would end up choosing after narrowing down the top two schools for himself in Texas and Texas A&M.

The Commitment

2022 West Brook DB Bryce Anderson is the NO.3 rated safety and 6th nationally per 247 sports. The Under-Armour and All-American ESPN Jr 300 athlete choose the Aggies over the Longhorns and will be taking his talents to the home of the 12th man to play for head coach Jimbo Fisher and staff in college station.

With a total of 42 division I offers for Anderson, he had his choice of schools to pick from could have played anywhere in the country but decided to take his talents to Aggie land and put on the maroon and white uniform.

We took a poll of where fans thought the star defensive back would take his talents and the poll was pretty split at the beginning between the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies. However in the end Aggie’s pullout in front of the polls and today as well. Head coach Jimbo Fisher has some special things brewing down in college station and has put together very respectable recruiting classes.

After visits this both schools this past week to their respective schools recruiting pool parties, Anderson felt like he was ready to make a decision on where he would end up playing possibly for the next four years of his college career. Originally a commit to LSU back in September of 2019, that did not stop the Longhorns or the Aggies from keeping hopes alive and in close contact with Anderson.

Anderson must have been loving the level of expectations set forth by the aggie and was impressed and equally satisfied in Twitter posts every time he left aggie land. Not to mention the top-tier talented group A&M has in other corners like Katy’s four-star Bobby Taylor and Lexington four-star Jarred Kerr as a defensive back commit.

Evalutation & Anaylsis

Eval – Anderson has adequate size relative to his position and possesses a lean athletic build at 6’0″ one hundred ninety pounds. Overall a dangerous athlete on both sides of the ball that brings elite athleticism and speed. In 2020 was named first-team as a Quarterback and in 2019 was 6A Sophomore of the Year and MaxPrepreps Sophomore All-American first-team all selection. Also a track star and a star on special teams who has a chance to take the ball into the endzone with his lethal speed and agility. Shows great lateral ability and speed and can make defenders miss out in space. He will have some learning to do in tackling and how to r3ead coverages on the defensive side of the ball verse3s the offensive but overall is an elite athlete and coaches at the next level should not have any issue coaching Anderson to be an immediate starter or producer whether that be on defense or on special teams. Posses early NFL draft potential and we will undoubtedly be seeing this athlete play on Sundays.
