Friday Night Stars: DFW Standout Recruits of Week #4

Week four of Texas high school football has the players and teams getting back into football shape and there was a few standout recruits from the DFW area that helped their teams to victory and showcased their talents. Below is a full list of the Dallas-Fortworth area standout recruits who shined on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball

 

 

Quarterbacks

Cole Matsuda (23′)|5-10/180| QB |  Nolan Cathloic

Despite the loss, Matsuda still had a great game with 28 completions out of 41 passes that went for 398 yards receiving two touchdowns and only 1 interception.

Tre Guerra (23′)|QB |  Keller

UCA commit, Tre was spectacular on the night and hitting his targets throwing for 309 yards and two touchdowns, despite making a few errors and throwing two interceptions.

Noah Lugo (24′)| 6-2/180 | QB | V.R Eaton

Despite the loss, Noah still had a great night through the air and on the ground. Lugo threw for 175 yards passing, with 2 touchdowns, and also rushed for 134 yards rushing and one more additional touchdown. Holds interest in a couple of division I schools like Rice and Tulsa.

Roderick Hatsfield (24′) | 6-1/205 | QB | Waxahachie

Alcorn commit Roderick Hatsfield got the job done on the night on the ground and through the air. Passed for 127 yards and 3 touchdowns while also adding 85 yards rushing and an additional touchdown. That brought his total to 212 yards of total offense and four total touchdowns.

Jimmell McFalls (25′) | 6-1/165 | QB |Hirschi

McFalls is a dual sport athlete who can hurt defense through the air or on the ground. he helped his team to victory with 249 total yards of offense, and four total scores. 176 yards through the air passing, 73 yards rushing, and three scores passing and the other he ran one in to cap off an excellent showcasing of his athleticism on the night.

Kaden Brown (23′) | 6-1/185 | QB | Midlothian Heritage

South Dakota commit Kaden Brown had nearly a perfect night both on the ground and through the air completing 20 out of 25 of his passes for 246 yards passing and 4 touchdowns while also adding an additional 61 yards of offense rushing.

Cade Bortnem (24′) | 6’/195 | QB | Lake Dallas

Cade is a recruit to know in his class. A bit undersized for a quarterback but plays well. Last game helped lead his team to victory torching the defensive secondary with 319 yards passing, and 4 touchdowns with a 75 percent completion rating, completing 15 out of 20 of his passes.

Jackson Gilkey (23′) | 6-2/200  | QB | Ennis

Gilkey is one highly recruited quarterback in his class here in the state that has yet to commit. With 390 yards passing and four touchdowns through the air performances like last week. Gilkey will have no problem attracting more interest this season.

 

Running backs 

Kayvion Sibley (24′) | 5-10/180 | RB | Allen

Sibley went off on the night for Allen rushing for 211 yards on 17 carries and racking up four touchdowns on. the night. Holds two offers to Minnesota, and Texas Tech thus far. Sibley has break-neck speed and can exploit holes, or make open field moves, and always fights for more yardage.

Jarvis Reed (23′)| 6’/ 185| RB | Mansfield Timberview

Reed has a great night running the football into the endzone three times and racking up 118 yards rushing on 4 carries. The rushing attack was a two-headed monster out of the backfield and Reed was a big part of the reason his tram got a marginal victory 63-6 over Turner.

Nate Palmer (24′) | 5-11/190 | RB | Decatur

Palmer is one of the top running backs in his class and this season he has been proving it on the ground. On 13 carries Palmer was able to rush for 240 yards and three touchdowns, plus 2 receptions go for 25 yards and a score to cap off a spectacular night. This season Palmer has 648 yards rushing and is averaging about 7 yards per carries. Has earned 25 division I offers from schools like Oregon, and USC to name a few.

Kerian Patrick-Daniels (24′) | 5-11/175 | RB, ATH | Aledo

Daniels is on the rise this season and helped lead Aledo to victory with his tough and electric running style, cutting the field vertically and having the speed to take the football all the way into the endzone.

Trey Joyner (24′)| 5-9/170 | RB | Guyer

Trey rushed 134 yards rushing on 22 carries and ran one in for a score. Holds interest in top schools like Texas, Ole Miss, and others. This year could be a breakout year for Joyner.

Kordell Berry (24′) | 5-10/ 195 | RB | Life Waxahachie

We just evaluated Berry and he could very well be a breakout running back this season. Kordell is a long stride runner and a power running back that can plow over people. Last game he helped his team to a victory pounding the ball on the ground with 322 yards rushing and five touchdowns on just 24 carries. Keep your eyes on this recruit this season.

Dennis Moody (23′) | RB | Reedy

Reedy has been heating up this season for reasons like the last game’s performances. On 22 carries Moody rushed for 156 yards, averaging 7.1 yards per carry,ing and had one touchdown.

Derrick McFall (24′) | RB, ATH | Tyler

Although McFall is a running back, he can throw the football too. At quarterback, he had a nice night throwing the football for 200 yards and two touchdowns on the night while also adding 47 yards rushing and one touchdown. Holds 17 division I offers to schools like Alabama, Baylor, Houston and others.

A’Marion Peterson (23′) | 6-2/210 | RB | Hirschi

Peterson, the USC senior running back commit, had himself a night rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Peterson is nearly averaging 180 yards rushing per game now, and looks like he won’t lose steam this season.

 

 

 

 

Wide Receivers

Ronnie Harrison (23′) | 6-5/ 210 | WR | Forney HS

Ronnie is a dual sport athlete that can make some big-time plays at wide-out. He is quick of the LOS and lethal within his routes cuts the field turf up nicely, and has the breakaway speed to take the football all the way to the house. Last game Ronnie shined with 7 receptions, 206 yards, and get this, found the endzone three times to help his team to a 43-14 victory.

Ka’Morreun Pimpton (23′) | 6-5/210 | TE | North Crowley

Vanderbilt’s tight three-star commit, Ka’Morreun Pimpton was a big target and the reason why his team got the victory. He’s a big athletic looking tight end with a lengthy frame, that can run solid routes and catch in between traffic.  In the 54-0 victory over Paschal Pimton had nine receptions that went for 149 yards receiving and one touchdown on the night

Tre Griffiths (24′) | 6-3/205 | WR | Keller

Tre has some division I interest and offers from schools like Baylor, and Texas Tech, however, that number could increase after impressive performances like he recently did taking three catches for 131 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Amarion Henry (23′) | 6’/185 | WR | Keller

Henry has been earning college interest this season and for good reason. He had 7 catches for 136 yards.

Montrell Wade (23′) | Tyler High

Boston College commit Montrell Wade had 129 yards receiving on 6 receptions and one touchdown.

AJ Jayroe (23′)| 6-5/185 | WR | Reedy

Sam Houston commit caught eight passes that went for 111 yards and for one touchdown.

Keonde Henry (24′) | 6-1/185 | WR | Lake Dallas

Henry is a recruit to know with only one offer at the moment respectively from Texas Tech. Henry could be heating up this season with performances like last week with four receptions going for 108 yards receiving and finding his way into the endzone three times.

Gracen Harris (25′) | 5-10/170 | WR | Ennis

Harris is underclassmen recruit that every coach in the country should know about. He is a receiver who can turn on the jets and leave defenders in the dust and knows how to find the endzone. Last game 12 receptions go for 249 yards and three touchdowns.

 

 

Defense 

Jermy Jackson Jr.  (24′) |6-2/200 | DE, OLB. | Waxahachie

Jackson is picking up interest and heating up this season because of his size and athleticism, and performances like he had with three sacks against Cedar Hill.

Julian Dews (24′) | 6-3/ 240 | DE | Tyler high

Dews had two sacks on the night and was instrumental on the night for the defense.

Cavin Chumley (23′) | 5-9/210 | DB, LB, ATH | All Saints Episcopal

Chumley had an impressive night and was flying to the ball racking up 12 total tackles, eight of them being solo. A recruit flying under the radar because of his size, but he has gained a lot of interest because of his consistently high performances.

Aaron Scherp (24′)| 6’/185 | DB | Southlake Carroll

Scherp is a versatile player on the Dragon defense who has a high motor and pursuit of the football. Last game, helped his team to victory and shut out the opponent with eight total tackles, half of them being solo.

Chris Scott (24′) | 6’/200 | LB | Dallas Christian School

Scott is a prospect to keep an eye on who had a spectacular night leading the defense with 12 solo tackles and two tackle for losses.

Taylor Starling (23′)  5-10/170 |DB | South Oak Cliff

The Colorado Buffaloes commit had a night flying all over the field to the ball with 23 total tackles on the night.

Brandon Jones (24′) | 6-1/190 | LB | South Oak Cliff

Jones is a recruit on the rise this season that could very well end up being named one of the top in his class at his position with plenty of offers and stars. Holds eight total offers from schools like Arizona State, Ole Miss, and others. Last game in the victory 13 total tackles and eight of them were solo.

Parker Meese(24′) | 6-2/220 | LB | Parish Episcopal

Parker is one of the top linebackers in the nation and in this game he showed it with 22 total tackles on the night, 12 solo, and two tackles for losses.  Meese holds 22 division I offers to schools like Oregon, Penn State, Tennesse, North Carolina, and others.

Caleb Mitchell-Irving (24′) |  6-2/ 225 | DL | Parish Episcopal

Caleb is a four-star prospect with 22 division I offers and he showed his dominance in the game racking up two tackles for losses and 17 total tackles( 6 solo).
