Daymion Sanford, a 3-Star LB from Paetow, has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. Following his official visit over the weekend, Sanford decided to end his recruiting process and commit to Texas A&M on Monday. On June 4, Sanford impressed the Texas A&M coaching staff during a workout. He returned four days later for a one-day camp with other prospects.

Despite making additional trips to Austin, Baton Rouge, and Tuscaloosa, Sanford remained the front-runner for A&M. He had been scheduled to pay a visit to Duke this weekend but canceled it in favor of an Aggieland excursion. Then that was the end of it. That was enough to persuade A&M to offer him a scholarship, and his display at camp the next day only cemented things.
Sanford might also be able to assist the Aggies at Paetow, as five-star defensive lineman David Hicks has transferred there from Allen after spending his junior year there.
Sanford assisted Paetow, a relatively new program, to a Class 5A Division I state title as a junior this past season. He was chosen the district’s Defensive MVP with 91 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, three pass breakups, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception returned for a touchdown.
Sanford is a big get for the Aggies as they continue to build on their class of 2023.
