The Commitment
The commitment for James to the Texas A&M Aggies may have been a bit premature for the young athlete who has the national spotlight and offers to go play for some of the top programs around the country.
James committed to the Aggies and head coach Jimbo Fisher back in February of 2021.

Since then Anthony has received a lot of love from schools, especially from the Oregon Ducks and Michigan. Those were two that stood out the most and have been full court pressed on Anthony and never given up hope after his commitment to the Aggies.
Visit other campuses may have had something to do with Anthony’s decision to recommit as well as some of the controversy Texas A&M and the University of Alabama are experiencing with both head coaches in the national spotlight at the moment for negative reasons; maybe something that made Anthony reconsider his decision.
Visits this year and last included an unofficial visit to Texas, Michigan, and Miami, and is scheduled for an official visit to Washington State this summer.
What’s interesting in seeing the timeline for James is his two visits in between the others to College Station.
The NO.1 Recruiting Class
Texas A&M and staff has the number one recruiting class in the country and James was a contributor to that list, however, not anymore.
Now that James will be weighing his options carefully and traveling across the country to make sure the decision he makes is the best decision for himself and his family.
