Biggest Risers
Tyler High’s wide receiver Montrell Wade, Judson’s speedy receiver in Anthony Evans, Klein Oak’s utility tool on offense and athlete, receiver Kaleb Black.
Montrell Wade is a speedy wide reciever that is quick of the line of scrimmage and can go up to win some of those contested passes.Last season in 2021 Montrell has 39 receptions with 808nyards receiving and 13 total touchdowns; not to mention the defensive stats. Wade can play both ways and contribute heavily on both sides of the ball. Hence the rise in his recruiting stock, Montrell has received ten division I offers this spring and since the start of the year from schools like Arkansas State, Colorado State,Texas Tech, ULM and others.
One reciever who exploded onto the scene last year and this spring has beenKaleb Black who has been special for Klien Oak and contibtured heavily as a utitly player that could do it all on offense. Not to mention picking up Utility Player of the Year honors as a junior in District 15-6A, which is a tough as a division as any coupled with immense talent in the area, it was no easy award to pick up for Black. Black showcased his elite speed and ability to make the big plays with the football in his hands. Kaleb has picked up eight division I offers this spring since the start of the year from schools like: Marshall, UNT, UTSA ad others.
Judson’s speedster Anthony Evans has been shining since this time last year but has recently caught fire after his commitment to Arkansas last November . With offers coming in from UConn, Colorado, Missouri, Utah, UNLV, Washington State, Nebraska, the defending national champs in the Georgia bulldogs. Everyone wants to make their offer to arguably one of the fastest and most lethal in his routes receivers in the 2023 class.
No longer “under-the-radar”
A&M Consolidated wide receiver Weasley Graves, Reedy receiver AJ Jayroe, North Forney’s receiver Ernest Thomas, have all made names for themselves this spring, and all the while raising their recruiting stock. Many colleges are interested in these top prospects on the rise who all put impressive seasons in 2021.
Weasley made his name know last season for A&M consolidated being quick of the line of scrimmage and showcasing his ability tot be lethal vertical threat down the field that can flex his vertical ability to when consisted passes deep down field or in the end-zone. Since the start of the year, Weasley has picked up offers from Uta, Tulane, SMU,and others before ultimately comitting to SMU the following month.
Last but certainly not least would be wide receiver Ernest Thomas who has turned heads and been an recruit who has significantly raised his stock and fly’s no longer under the radar. Heating up this year and picking up offers from Missouri, Arkansas, and Florida A&M.
